Airbus330Captain SG If there is anyone that is interested in the Airbus A380. The aircraft will be stopping over in Singapore on route to Sydney just before Nov 16th. Time and date of arrival will be updated later.
iveco SG Anyone been to Westbus’s website to check out its fleet? I noticed they have Merc O405 Mks I & II. I believe the Mk I came at the time of those in SBS fleet while the Mk II was beought in at the same time as those in Tibs fleet.
105090 SG yeah.. double decker.. originally planned for the Kangaroo Route (Sydney > London), but Austrailia dis-approved it.. also, the delivery is delayed by up to 1 year.. airbus is in hot soup over the delay..
Airbus330Captain SG Sorry to tell you that the A380 does not have the range to fly Sydney to London but QF will be operating the A380 on her Sydney to London via Singapore route. Cheers
SBS9828X SG So we will be seeing two A380 liveries? Btw, which is SIA's longest plane? as in distance? A340-500 or 777-200ER?
Airbus330Captain SG What do you mean buy two A380 liveries ? SIA's longest plane is the Boeing 777-300 (length of the aircraft) . SQ's aircraft that flies the longest distance is the A340-500.
105090 SG yeah. thanks for the clarification.. in addition, the A380 will be used by SIA for direct route from SIN to the US, such as Los Angeles (if m not wrong?)
Airbus330Captain SG The A380 does not have the range to fly to US direct , they have to stopover probably in Seoul / Tokyo or Hong Kong . Only the A340-500 in SQ's fleet is capable of flying SIN-US non-stop.
