There's a direct bus. Take 153 from Catholic JC along Whitley Road and alight at Mujahidin Mosque along Queensway.

You will need to alight at Commonwealth Avenue, after bus stop Church of our Saviour.

In either case:
153: longer walk to board bus; shorter walk to MDIS after alighting
186: shorter walk to board bus; longer walk to MDIS after alighting
