Haha. I take 30 almost everyday (between NUS and my home in Bedok) and I would advice you to avoid peak hours. 30 is always crowded and ECP is always jammed during peak hours. (Sometimes I delibrately stayed back in NUS until 7pm just to avoid the evening peak traffic.)

so actually from this report, svc 30 is the longest service in singapore. And I think svc 30 is the only service that provide a good sky view when it goes to ECP.

haha.i took svc 30 during peak hours. very siok. I got an LO3X with very good pickup (i fell backwards when the bus accelerates ). Slow traffic along benjamin shears bridge but very nice view esp. when the bus is going up the bridge. see the city skyline. I reached at bedok at around 11pm and took svc17 home Very Happy Travel time in svc30 for me is abt 2hrs. Morning peak not siok but pm peak is very fun (that is if you don't have anything to do)

Just discovered that many of the longest routes are first introduced by SBST. Svc like 51, 30, 61 are very long routes. Wonder if for svc like svc 76 which make a loop along siglap road, does the BC take a break after driving from YCK to siglap rd?

Just like svc 502, some take their break by going to the toliet at Marina Bay Terminal. Some just continue as they are behind their schedule.

Look. Direct doesn't mean SHORT.
Given the conversion of 1 fare stage approximately equals to 0.8km, calculate the distance taken by 30, 51 and 506. Smile I prefer mathematical figures to you telling me DIRECT ah. 30 is also rather direct you know. Smile In fact, 506 doesn't do quite well in JE/BBT, takes a fairly medium-sized round.

hey take it easy... look at 66 and 197... their routes are definitely longer and less straightforward and clear cut compared to 506

Fare stages may not be accurate. Take a look at svc 43 and 156. The progress of the fare stages is different from YCK rd to Buangkok Green.
