Which Feeders/Short-Haul sv need DDs?

240, 242, 334 & 359 had perm DDs in the past. 302 & 307 had perm DDs under SBS.

All 3 feeders, I think have extremely slack timetables. All the buses drive very slowly. Especially 333. The timetable hovers around 40mins per round.
335 also. Along Jurong Town Hall Rd & Boon Lay Way especially, long smooth stretch, yet they still drive so slowly.

the citybuzz svcs don't need DDs,

i hope SBST take out those DDs on citybuzz and replace them with dennis dart or NAC Mk 2 or scania

Recently saw SD serving on Svc 812. Feeder svc that need DDs are perhaps bedok, tampines and boon lay feeders.

SD on 812? Shouldn't be rigid? Anyway , Tampines feeder only 291 needs DD , for Bedok only 222 which has currently got 2 DD perm , Boon lay currently only 242 got DD's

Regarding the SD on 812, I have seen it like 2 times. The buses deployed are both Dennis Lances. Regarding abt the svcs that need DD, so far, I have seen most bedok, tampines and boon lay feeder svc have gd loads partly because there is crowd in these three interchanges. Compare them to Serangoon. AMK may be the next int that will be crowded.

Yes , Lance on 812 i have seen it before. Don't think its rare on any Yishun feeders especially.

Serangoon and AMK Feeders i guess SD's would be better because most of the places (not all) serve by trunks.

citybuzz unfortunately needs DDs for "sightseeing" Rolling Eyes just give it Vox2 instead Smile

93, 153, 161, 165

actually, they just need it for peak hours, except 93, doesn't need it at all Rolling Eyes and 12 doesn't really need to be full DD fleet

yes I agree citybuzz dun need DDs but using dennis dart, NAC Mk2 or Scania is too....... Confused Maybe MK IV is a better choice since it plyed the city.

Dont you think that is dangerous? I think the bus is already overloaded in terms of the bus's licensed capacity. Full to the door during the PM peak? Luckily its just PM, not AM. If its AM where some other drivers who is still sleepy, it will be very dangerous indeed. Cant imagine what will happen if a car rammed the bus at the door while going at 50kph. Shocked

anyway svc3 needs a DD. Hope LTA will widen the entrance of st21 so that DD can go in. Morning surely got 2 buses one,both buses full.

901 surely needs more Bendies during the morning peak period, although you can see rigid buses leaving the interchange every 5 minutes, the queue too long. I remembered walking to the 911 berth when I passed by the 901/900/965 berth when I saw the queue extending to the escalators (the escalators linking WDL MRT/Causeway Point and WRI) even though a bus went off. More surprisingly, all are Secondary school students! Shocked

Don't know about DDs as I am living in a full SMRT area Very Happy

the queue jux like 180.. morning so packed even though its served by bendys with 2-3mins frequency..

My parents & I lived in Jurong East for more than 20 yrs bef & we take Jurong East feeder almost daily then Laughing

My findings :
333 is enhanced to provide Toh Guan Residents links to Mkts/Schs in Jurong East Neighbourhoods but most of them prefer going IMM while many choose a shorter route to Ave 1/St 32 instead of going 1 big round in Toh Guan Neighbourhood.

334 is a faster way to Jurong East/West Neghbourhood(St 4X), not only passby Jurong Polyclinic and also link the Mkts/Schs in Jurong East & West Neighbourhoods together so many pax used this service.

335 integrates with 336 to better serve Jurong West Neighbourhoods but has long waiting time throughout the whole day, paxs must X-over(rain/shine) to get to Mkts in Jurong East & West Neighbourhoods making others to walk out to places with more routes to/from Jurong East Int.

from HBF in the mornings, the buses always empty.. CNG some more..

Yes they are from 179. But this still means 242 got DDs.

Service 225 (Both Green and White Plate) needs DD's during peak hours like in the afternoons. 225W will have DD's at around 1300hrs to 1330hrs. Not sure about the other side.

Service 293 also need to have DD's during peak hours, where 22 DD's are low. 293 DD can operate at 1230 hrs to 1800hrs where passenger demands are high at 1300 hrs, 1500hrs and after 1730hrs.
