TV Mobile on SMRT Bus?

I can see on the aircon part on the right side of the bus interior.. is that a camera? Look like 1.. the shape. What is it used for?

Hey, isn't that thingy similar to those installed on the BP LRT? Btw installing TV mobiles on SMRT buses isn't really that good, since most of its journey are short ones, as compared with SBST, which most of it are long routes.Oh yes, if this is a TV mobile, there should be a green sticker saying "TV Mobile" i think.

Thats a camera...for safety purposes? Prevent people drop bombs then leave the bus...then you can record the person's face.

You can also see it on some of the buses on SBS Transit.

1 Bus got like 5(not sure) cameras..?

1 at middle
3-4 at the front

SBST Buses have CCTV's as well , can be found on MK4's , VO3x , VSO's , B9TL

most mark4s, VO3x ,VSO, B9TL, dennis tridents... how bout mercedes, mark 3? is it meant for cost cutting as they will be removed within 5-10years
well SMRT has CCTVs on most of its mercedes buses esp bendies... actually come to think of it all bendies have CCTV, nissan diesels and dennis tridents dun need it they deserve to be scraped

SBST Mercs will be retire from 2007 onwards unless u mean the SMRT one

How come i cannot see any cameras on sbs buses? They hid it very well? I seldom take SMRT Buses so cant comment on SMRT Buses.

SBST cameras are black dome shaped on the ceiling around the driver near the exit door, the rear of the bus the front and rear of the upper deck for double decker buses

Not most SBST buses are having it, they are relatively quite slow in adding it. Mostly I saw is on MK4 DM3500.

Some are on double deckers...I saw 1 Batch3 VO also having those cameras, it even have a "mini-TV" infront of the driver to show the different parts of the buses(dun know how to explain tis part).

Of course they can seems slow in adding the CCTVs onboard. Think about it. How many Buses are there in the SBST Fleet ? And how many are there in SMRTB Fleet ? Even when both companies have the same amount of CCTV Buses, you would still feel that SBST is Slow.. Come on.. Think about it.. im sure you study MATHS.. What is the possibility of seeing a SBST Bus with CCTV ? And What is the possibility of seeing a SMRTB bus with CCTV ? THINK about it.

they have their original VSO CCTVs and extra installed the new version black dome shaped CCTVs installed in mark4s... need so many cameras???

There are a total of 10 CCTVs onboard the VSOs. 2 original and 8 new CCTVs. As of how many of them are with record functions.. You guys go think about it.
