MPA providing Shuttle Bus between Marina South Pier and Marina Car Park B... Frequency @ 10 - 15 mins

Sv 402 frequency would become 5 mins instead of 25 - 30 mins

The MPA will be engaging a private operator to provide a free shuttle bus service, plying between Car Park B at Marina South and MSP. The timing and frequency of the free service are as follows:

Weekdays:

At 15-minute intervals between 6.30am and 6.30 pm

Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays:

At 10-minute intervals between 6.30am and 2.00pm; and

At 15-minute intervals between 2.00pm and 6.30pm

To facilitate traffic movement, Marina Coastal Drive, which leads right up to MSP, will be closed to traffic (except authorised vehicles) from 6am to 3pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays during the Kusu Pilgrimage season. The public is advised to park at Car Park B and transfer to the free shuttle service to MSP during these times.As a gentle reminder, the public is advised that the Traffic Police may take action against cars parked illegally along the access roads.

how do you get to the place to take the boat?

bus, taxi, or any other personal transport is fine to get to the ferry terminal

if SMRT had a choice, they terminate the southbound train at raffles place and have a raffles place - marina bay shuttle at 30mins interval one lah. Twisted Evil

For your information, the MRT line for the northsouth was suppose to end at Raffles Place. But due to the fact that it was an interchange station, they got no choice but to extend the line to marina bay for the train to terminate. That was the time when they tried to plan our very 1st MRT map.

But they could still terminate at the interchange station if they wanted to save money. Probably the NS line platforms would need to be on the same level so the only thing would be a little bit of walking (or escalating Laughing ) up or down

Or they could leave it like the present arrangement and install a reversing siding instead.

The train frequency at 7 minutes, for example, about 100-200 people taking, then go up, takes 3 svc 402 buses to fill up, 15 minutes if according to plan. Then wait for the MPA shuttle, 15-20 minutes, means 200 people will be waiting at the carpark, by then the next MPA bus comes to fill in about 60 people, another 200 would have arrived. This is peak time.
No way there would be peace... Haha, I am not going this time...

MPA shnuttle goes from the Carparks. there shouldnt be that mant people driving to Marina South i suppose?
