jetabt767400 SG Five Kowloon Motor Bus Company buses were stolen from their depots and terminus in the evening of 8th October. Two were driven from Tuen Mun to Kwai Chung (presumably along Tuen Mun Highway, what a big feat!). On the cable television's TVBJ channel, I only made out one Dennis Dragon 3X and seemingly Leyland Olympian 3X. Any info from HK friends?
jetabt767400 SG Yeah, they were found outside some industrial building as the news show. A KMB employee found them sitting there. One was carrying desto 61M. Did you saw it too?
jetabt767400 SG Just about the reason why someone would steal a car. Not because you cannot afford it, but its just the enjoyment behind it, not everyone will understand. Like WLDEP, there might be one day when some bus kenna stolen, as someone reported of them parked outside the depot.
stooper SG I think is the China people steal one lah… Go steal then KOPE all the equipment inside and then can sell.
jetabt767400 SG The weird thing is, the news reported that nothing was missing. Footage shows the cash box and Octopus system intact on the Dragon.
jetabt767400 SG Maybe one day I found someone who wants a lot of bus tires, then I go WLDEP, steal several bendies, and use a hydraulic jack to get the bus up, steal the tires away? Good idea! This is only a example, not my ideal way. I will never steal a bus...
XiaoTaro SG Hmm, 3 Dennis Dragons, 1 Dennis Trident and one Volvo Olympian were stolen, the dragons are on svc 61M, 47X and 235, trident on 31B and VO on 235M.
jetabt767400 SG You from HK? Great... Haha, erm, they target the Dragons, old buses, but nice though, I have good experiences with them...
shinkansen SG I think they steal it just for the sake of excitment? May be next they will try to steal the MRT
jetabt767400 SG Well. bus news can come from everywhere, maybe next from the States? Anyway, some bus is gonna get stolen from SBST or SMRT soon...
Windy_hates_B10TLs SG Yeah… bus foamer kids inspired by some illegal activity in HK. I wouldn’t be surprised… it begins with stealing destos and bus guides, then before you know it, stealing buses! (Possibly exaggerated, but the point still stands).
