no...I'm just a passerby. A few drivers ignored me & zoomed past me. I was trying hard not to laugh when I saw them made a 3-point turn & came back.

SBS 124C [BR 157] broke down along Jurong East Ave 1 at bus stop opp Jurong Polyclinic. Seen with recovery truck at around 2.30pm.

TIB1153 broke down along kranji road at around 8.30pm.

Bus was off service and on the way back to KJDEP. Lucky it was at night and did not cause any jam.

7th July 2006, seen at 0935hrs. TIB491Z (KJ 67)broke down along Commonwealth Ave West after the junction with Clementi Road, recovery truck behind with two mechanics repairing. It was on service 106 at that time.

i was on TIB1050G of S172 frm Opp. CDA towards Boon Lay Int.. upon reaching the junction of boon lay way and jln boon lay, the trailer began to shake vigorously and the bus sort of couldnt accelerate much and kept shaking. SC gave up at entrance to ORIGINAL boon lay int and let all the passengers off.

SBS 121K [AM 124] on tow along Victoria St at 6.30pm.

CSS 191X [WL SP] on sv187 broke down in Boon Lay Int. Seen with a pool of water under the exit door & a maintenance lorry behind at around 3pm. Back in service at night.

Saw the same thing... They somehow managed to get the bus moving again and I supposed it started service halfway and arrived back at BNL at around 5pm with passengers onboard (with woman SL Surprised ).

And also as usual, produced lots of grey smoke from exhaust pipe...

Their maintenence lorry is some dunno what lorry! Like 3rd party... I've also never seen SMRT tow trucks! Unlike SBS which has their own lorries... Show's how cheap they are...

Guess SMRT do have their engineering department, but they don't have their own tows. Twice I also saw third party tow trucks (towing 1157H and 1182J), but SMRT does have their own maintenance vehicles, Mitsubishi Canters, which always don't have enough tools...

SBST also starting to use commercial tow trucks. Heard there are only 3 SBST recovery trucks left to go around the whole island Shocked

All SMRT towings are done by commercial tow trucks.

It was a Dennis Trident 12m with Alexander ALX500 body. Rego HZ6751 (ATR101). On 12th July one Neoplan Centroliner N4426/3 was damaged after tearing up a 30 metre section of road side barrier. The bus was too close to the roadside as it turned into a bus stop. Rego KR9862 (AP151). Having lots of accidents these days...

Unidentified O405 WA broke down at PIE slip rd before Clementi Ave 6 exit at 5.30pm.

SBS 282D [SL 174E] on sv174 broke down along Bt Batok West Ave 3 towards Jurong at bus stop outside Blk 140 at 10.55pm. Engine overheated.

SBS 9233L [HG 147] broke down inside New Bridge Rd Ter. Recovery truck came at 9.40pm.

SBS 9410S [AR 14] broke down along Grange Rd at bus stop outside Youth Park at 9.55pm. A pool of water under engine compartment.

TIB 926L [AM 167] broke down along Stamford Rd opp Raffles City at 12.45am.

YK2491J, YK2462H and YK8109P are the 3 tow trucks I recall SBST operates. 2462H and 2491J are Volvo FM10s, while 8109P is a Scania 114G truck.

TIB945 (SV 853) involved in an accident this afternoon at 3 pm at junction of AMK Ave 6 and Ave 9.

Front of bus was badly damaged. Windscreen cracked after collision with a Black Lexus SUV. An old lady on bus was injured and have to be taken away to hospital.

And the black lexus SUV was drove by the mediacorp actor Wang Shi Nan. His son was also slightly injured in the accident..

And i pity those passengers on board this bus. SL does not ask them to alight and transfer to another bus toward Yishun. ALl the passengers just sit inside the bus and wait and until i leave the scene half an hour later. those passengers are still inside the bus. Shocked

SBS9131Y (SLBP 179) on service 157 broke down opposite Church of St Mary the Angels on the afternoon of 29 July. BC was drumming his fingers on the steering wheel and all destos were removed. Raining heavily at that time. I am not sure about the deployment of this bus so apologies if info not correct. Info from sgwiki…
