to slow down when approaching a junction is a good practice, because a junction and a green signal is considered a road hazard...

A speed of about 30-40kmph is reasonable, but when the vehicle is at the final arrow before the junction, you may speed up provided the traffic signal is green...

So, these BC isnt right or wrong..

but my mum, she used to take bus 90 from the paya lebar airbase.
if you guys know, 90travels from toa payoh n loop at the airbase.
She says sometimes the bus will stop at the loop area and sometimes the bus will drive exceptionally slooooooooowly in the afternoon....

Today i took Svc 172 the DAF speed like hell sia Laughing , rego is TIB685G , BC damm pro and somemore it heavy rain and water splash all over , even along Old CCK Rd

anyway i myself sometimes also take service 90 … i noticed dat they use the real old buses for this service number and the aircon sometimes like not in working condition … the temp outside the bus can even be cooler then the temp inside the bus

Let Me see.. SBST got Bad Freq ??? How do you explain the average 5Mins Freq i got from Normal buese serving the City?? and the freq of about 3Mins for Services like 179 72 238 ? SMRTB Good Freq ? Explain the 15Mins Freq get from 966 173 970 ?? And the 20-25Mins Freq of 985 ?? Explain that... For your info (if you dont know what is going here in Singapore..) SBST Does provide better frequency. Freq for SBST is uaually at around 8 - 12mins while SMRT is at 12Mins and above. Talking about speed of buses.. Do you wish to ride a bus which speeds with the SL driving recklessly ? or do you wanna a safe ride to your destination.. ?
You mention that people might be late for work.. If you yourself know that you are late, take a cab. nobody told you to take a bus.. The First bus of Most service is 0530Hrs.. No reason for you to blame on the bus that you are taking. You can choose to take an earlier bus..

179 and 242 has a max frequency of 1min in the morning peak! Laughing

And your first bus time ah, leads us to another SMRT problem... Most of SMRT last trunk buses end at 2300+... SBS ones usually end later, around 2400

Best is go earlier, then as the bus routine sets in, adjust your timing to suit the bus.
