You guys are posting your messages in the wrong thread, starting from sbst275's message on 1 Feb 2006. This thread is for discussion on CW3 bus that runs thru the Second Link Tuas/Tanjung Kupang checkpoint, not Johor Bahru buses which runs thru the Woodlands/JB checkpoint.

It is then a loophole

Cos the Checkpoint is an neutral ground, it is not even a bus stop. Reason is simple, if selling of tickets or passengers are allowed to crisscross operators at the Checkpoint when it is not supposed to by law, ends up the place there is no proper control. Worst now is that HI, SJE, SMRT and SBS have to share 2 berths now as due to the bridge works

It's OK to make a simple mistake. But next time, please use the Johor Bahru bus routes thread if you want to post about Sv 160/170/950 & its JB routes, other than CW3.

Heard that CW3 passengers are able to board a Senai Airport shuttle bus at the Malaysian checkpoint. 8 MYR. But I am not able to find any useful information from the Senai Airport website at:

Senai Airport already has very few "relevant" international flights now. Besides, passengers seem to pay less when taking medium and long range budget flights from Changi Airport. I wonder if LTA wants to deploy its staff for unnecessary investigations.

I don't find any real point for any LTA 'investigations' !
Especially when LTA is not in-charge or supervising Malaysian territory !!
Whatever which takes place on Malaysian soil would have to be none of LTA's business, legally or otherwise. If Handal Indah wants to be more innovative & launch any new service outside Singapore that's their business really.

Overall Singapore remains the high cost centre in South-East Asia i'll say.
Senai, Johor in overall would therefore continue to innovate, develop & benefit more from their lower cost envirnoment which would give them the 'natural advantages' over Singapore for a long time to come.

Senai Airport offers an alternative bus service from Senai International Airport to Secondlink CIQ Complex for RM8 per ticket one-way for adult. From the CIQ Complex, there is another bus which is the 'Causeway Link 3' bus that takes passengers to Jurong East Interchange. From CIQ Complex to Jurong East, the bus fare is RM2.60. Total fare is RM 10.60.

Schedule for the new bus service is in the table below:

There is a fourth column titled "Depart from Jurong Bus Interchange" with times 0710, 0745, 0820, 0855 and 0930. But I could not figure out its relevance, so it was left out.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- Flight passengers and frequent travellers between Johor Bahru and Singapore can now have greater convenience with the newly-launched express bus service to the SecondLink or Linkedua, says Senai International Airport.

The five-times-a-day service starts from the Sultan Ismail International Airport, also known as Senai International Airport, and ends at the CIQ (Customs, Immigration and Quarantine) Complex at the SecondLink after a stopover at the City Lounge at Hentian Sentral Kotaraya Complex in the heart of Johor Bahru and vice versa. The fare costs RM8 each way.

After disembarkation at the CIQ Complex for immigration clearance purposes, passengers can proceed to take a connecting CW3 (Causeway Link 3) bus to Jurong East.

The fare from the CIQ complex to Jurong East is RM2.60 while the corresponding return fare from Jurong East to the CIQ complex is S$3.00.

This service provides another option for passengers departing for Singapore and is modelled on the existing shuttle service to and from the airport and Singapore, said Kennedy Ayu, the airport's general manager.

Passengers on board the 49-seater express bus can also purchase bus tickets from a ticket machine on the bus.

The connecting bus to Jurong East runs every half an hour from the pick-up point after the CIQ immigration clearance.

Upon reaching Jurong East, passengers will have many options to reach other destinations, which includes taking the MRT or other transport options such as bus services provided by local bus operators.

I'm highly doubtful, with daytime JB traffic taken into consideration !
Maybe possible in the early hours of the night !

thanks, but a 8.30 departure will cost them a lot of singaporean pax coming back from KL. they have not learnt their lesson. the next shuttle departure to kota raya (only) is 9.35pm.

and actually the shuttle is a flat fare now of RM8 for kota raya or second link CIQ.
