SINGAPORE : There is now one more way to get to Sentosa --
Singapore Airlines' Hop-on bus, which shuttles between popular
attractions in Singapore, will take you straight there from Clarke
Quay.
SIA first started the bus in 1999 and now ferries some 150,000
visitors annually.
Passengers of Singapore Airlines and SilkAir pay S$3 for an
unlimited day pass on the Hop-on Bus, while others pay S$12 for
adults and S$6 for children.
The airline hopes the bus will become a connection between the city
centre and Sentosa Island.
Said Huang Cheng Eng, executive vice president (marketing and
regions), Singapore Airlines, "We know that for Sentosa Island,
besides a lot of Singaporeans visiting it, we also want many, many
overseas visitors to visit Sentosa. There are a lot of new
attractions coming up. I think it's a good way to make it very
convenient for our overseas visitors to visit Sentosa. "
The Clarke Quay-Sentosa bus service operates daily from 10am to 6pm
at one-hour intervals. - CNA /ct
