Realignment Of Jalan Buroh, Pioneer Road And Tanjong Kling Road

To facilitate roadwork for the realignment of Jalan Buroh, Pioneer Road and Tanjong Kling Road , the Land Transport Authority (LTA) will be diverting the traffic between Jalan Buroh and Pioneer Road on Saturday, 4 March 2006 at 6.00am.

Motorists travelling from Jalan Buroh, towards Pioneer Road and Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) and vice versa, will be diverted to the stretch of realigned Jalan Buroh and Pioneer Road . Motorists travelling between Jalan Buroh and Shipyard Road may use the existing Jalan Buroh or Tanjong Kling Road , and the new cross junction of Jalan Buroh/Pioneer Road/Tanjong Kling Road .

This road upgrading work is part of the road development programme to upgrade the main arterial roads in the south-western sector of Singapore .

Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the directional signs on display.

SMRT IntraTown Services
Besides trunk services, SMRT Buses also operates 6 Intra-town services. Intra-town services involve the merging of feeder services to provide direct links between neighbourhoods within the same town as well as to connect passengers to trunk services at bus interchanges and to the MRT. This will enhance intra-town travel and reduce bus transfers between neighbourhoods. The letter, "E" indicates that the service will terminate at the interchange. It would not proceed beyond the interchange.

SBS used the 820, 821 number for a few months until in 2000, they were switched to 378 and 379

i have vague impressions of seeing 214E and 214W on O405 NAC's then... cos for the W to appear on the EDS then was something very special for then-Tibs buses.

hmm..? i cant really remember very clearly.. did 214E front desto uses 214E or just JALAN KAYU 214 ???
i only remember seeing the side plates wrote 214E

then, TIBS used NAC Merc O405 on 820/821 Very Happy
then SBS used 820/821 and 378/379 on 2 NAC Scanias

214E and 214W were renumbered in 1998. On the same day, 804A became 806 and Crawford St Terminal closed down.
