right.....now all these speculations are getting dumber and illogical by the moment....

renumber for what???

waste tme and money then they say not profitable and then increase fare again

muziq bus SG

must u still harp on the fare issue... SMRT was not the only one who increased their fares...

vivienlee SG

I think SMRT should also renumber some bus routes in Sembawang Int eg: 980 becomes 880, 981 becomes 881, 167 becomes 887, all the 88x series from Sembawang. It is weird tat got 980, 981 then 882...... Confused

Also wanna add on......Yishun should renumber 171 to 850, Woodlands should renumber 178 to 968, 187 to 967, 964 should convert into a feeder service and rename 904. Bt Panjang on the other hand should renumber 176 to 976, 177 to 977, and 75 to maybe 971 to complete the 97x series... Rolling Eyes

By doing so, you are only trying to confuse some of the pax who uses these few services..

But you have the NEL now, don't you? Same for those in SKG who travelled on 85.

Hmm... It could be impossible should the other existing svc nos. by TIBS gets renumbered. Rolling Eyes

The possibility of renumbering BB feeder can be future PGL feeder???

Jus guessing only... Mr. Green

yes. renumbering is not a top priority.

NEL is a nightmare. say i am now at Hougang, going to Jalan Besar. all the buses are withdrawn or amended. NEL takes me only to tekka/little india. i need to walk one big distance to reach jln besar!

so in a way, NEL is mking ppl walk very far from Tekka/Farrer Park/Boon Keng stations. and even so, the stations are not next to serangoon road, but way in..

sinicker SG

the phenomena of Little India/Farrer Park stations with its distance to Jln Besar can be compared to Kembangan/Eunos/Paya Lebar/Aljunied stations with Geylang Rd.

but for the case of Kembangan and so on, there are still services like 2/26/67 that runs parallel to the line but at a distance and they are still packed.

but for you, NEL is a nightmare and SBST doesnt want any bus service to go on that road frm the NorthEast of SG.

for example, i live at Tampines Ctrl. i can choose to take the bus or train to go to Geylang. most of the time, i take S67 anyway coz' it's cheaper and stops right o/s Geylang Serai.

the bane of the rationalisation exercise. obvious, isnt it?
