SBS1985C SG if scania lifespan is extended .... i would be very happy.... if extend till 25 year lifespan , i would hope they stay in BNDEP .... as for Donavan's post.... I hope it will not happen...
ZYX2005 SG ok la by the way why such a distressing topic. scrap. bad word la. dun you feel it reflects badly on the bus hobbyists, we like to scrap the buses we hateswuhahahah...(evil laff) i think you guys may be too young for nostalgia. sometimes when the bus goes one can feel sad because you miss them. for me i still feel a huge void when the B57s went. i suppose some of you folks might feel the same way in say 2020 when the scanias long gone la. aiyah distressing leeeh HOW TO scrap somemore... its disgusting that bsues are destroyed when they long gone their due date. have you actually witness a scrapping live? its not a very good experince to lvie through. especially if the bus is one that you like. this brings me to the next problem here> this topic clearly is started by someone who dislikes N113CRBs. the topic already started. HOW TO SCRAP the poor bus. seems to reflect your OWN opinion. not others opinion. evidently this results in flame wars in the previuos recent ocassions i read thru this place. seems to be no way to stop this la. u ppl cna voice ur opinions but no one cna stop you...so gentle reminder is contol and think what u need to say before posting. try not to hurt others feelins. ZYX
SBS1985C SG For your info ... I am one Of the Scania Fans .... I really hope they would stay ... I am just Curious about what they will do to my favourite bus (SBS 3661 Z , SBS 51 D , SBS 3579 D ) after they retire...
iveco SG Yeah, the thought of seeing the Scania N113s vanishing is distressing to you. I just hope some of them can be preserved for posterity, considering they were well ahead of their time in terms of technology. I will miss their quiet engine sounds and fast pace when they take their bow.
sinicker SG yup, the Scanias are good. i don’t see why the OACs and CACs need to be scrapped when they’re still doing well.
SBS1985C SG I think its too bad that Singapore Has No Museum to keep one or two buses that have retired… If not we would still be able to see some old buses…
SBS9828X SG that was then. Now, the engines are facing exhaustion. They are old although its been 15 years? yeah. Sumwer there. The turbo whistle also doesnt sound nice on the bus anymore
Apex-LW'21 SG The Scania N113CRB is the quietest bus when they were introduced into SBS fleet in 1989. Mostly found on BNDEP & BRAM.
SBS1908B SG I can't seem to find a better word than scrap. Destroy? I am currently trying to take the CRB to my drawing board, so far, already got the MB0405 family and the mkIII.
Donavan SG The MK II should kena cut first. Scanias can live another 5 more years. Same with Merc (SLBP + BRAM), LO3x. (SLBP, BRAM, AMDEP LO3x, not ARBP ones.)
Donavan SG Boring to see B10M and the Volvo logo everywhere. After O405 die, left 999U. After CRB die, left 2888T.
