Loking at its route, and winding routes, i daresay 2 Dennis Dart may be deployed for 409, pending demand patterns. 25 mins dont look possible for a complete journey..
and good thing it also operates on weekdays, but from 6pm..

i was also suprised 408 didnt use Darts but lets say one class-load of students going there one-shot, one dart cant take it..

Suggestion to SBST & SMRTB:

How about introducing services to:
- Upper Peirce Reservoir Park (off Old Upp Thomson Rd)

- Yishun Ave 1 (Lower Seletar Reservoir area)(this road runs straight across the sea/reservoir. Looks like there's a dam below the road? This road used to have a lot of road humps, but have since been removed. Know which location I'm referring to?)

If they are going to deploy Darts,Then the speed limiter must be disengaged as there was many steep hills to climb which need a super-fast acceleration Wink

Bt Timah Hill - No Need. Just take svc 67,75,170,171,173,184,852or961 and alight at the main road. Its only a short walk to the foothill entrance of Bt Timah Nature Reserve! (Please refer to TL Guide 2006; pg 74)

MacRitchie Reservoir - No Need. Just take svc 74,93,157,165,852,855 and alight along Lornie Rd, or take a bus svc to that bus-stop with double parallel bus bays (adding svc 130,132,156,162,166,167,980), then walk into MacRitchie Reservoir!

That's right. But I believe this route will be in higher demand at night, coz its more cooling over there and the scenery at night is really beautiful! (Its also a popular fishing spot over there.)

Sat, Sun &PHs: 7am to 3am

Note that PARKS 409 do not operate from 7am on weekdays.

Svc 401 operates Sun & PHS. Most people goes to East Coast Pk to enjoy themselves during the weekends.
