Noticed that SBST are introducing 3 services at one go nowadays:
CityBuzz: C1, C2, C3
Chinatown Direct: CT8, CT18, CT28
FFW: 10e, 30e, 89e

i can't la. cos i spotted 89e notice and started a topic, then someone else alerted me to 10e and 30e as well, so 10e and 30e came later.

I don't find it a good initiative. SBSTransit seems to be wasting their resources on services which may not be profitable to them.

I personally have not seen the fast forward services in operations, but look at CityBuzz. Even if they are there for revenue from ads, it just a waste of resources by deploying VSO on a route that has no passengers 90% of the time.

Look at other services, which needs DD, but SBST is still running SD on the service, and sometimes, you just see the opposite direction gets so many DD, while you are jam packed inside a SD that you have to squeeze into. Makes my blood boils. Mad

Just my own POV, and for your info, I also stay in a SMRT controlled area, and I am still ok with the service they are providing (so far).

I suggestion that Sv 10e will be extended from Tampines Int to Pasir Panjang Rd.I hope these people who work at Pasir Panjang Rd cos it is very convient of travel very faster time so those people live in Marine Parade and East Coast Rd..What do u suggestion? Thanks..

that is due to the fact that there are better options out to these areas from Tampines.

to pasir panjang, take MRT then Svc 51 from Queenstown MRT.

to town, take Svc 518.

By looking at Just on CityBuzz wont tll you anything.. Just take look oin Special Services like CT 8 and 174e for example.. they do have demand for them. Reason being is that 1st, they wan to get to their destination Fast.. Secondly, it makes no difference by taking a Train >> Feeder bus and a Direct Special Services like 502, CT 8, FF 174e..

express fares apply from 1st october, which is about $0.51 to $0.84 more one-way than the usual trunk fare (for more than 8km). this fare premium increases with distance travelled. for now till 30th sept, normal trunk fares will do.

it is not student-friendly as concession passes do not apply on these express services.

they might reduce one or two buses but it wun affect too much since most of the buses used in such FFw services will be the current peak-hour-only service 30 buses (known as S shift) that run alongside the full day buses.

Isn't ECP famous for its peak hour jam between fort rd and rochor rd? How can then it be express? Laughing

10e is calling at about 24 stops between east coast and mountbatten.. sure going to waste a lot of time getting to nicoll highway.. (like sv502 SKG to CTE long long route)

for 30e, maybe PSA or NUS ppl may benefit

It is unlikely that NUS people are going to take 30E as it terminates at Science Park instead of Heng Mui Keng Terrace, which is a good 3 bus stops difference. Furthermore, concession fares don't apply to FFw services, which makes it even more unlikely.
