A need for Eunos Interchange to have a new service

carbikebus SG

I feel that this Interchange should have a new service lets say to the far eastern or Northeast side. What's your opinion on this and please keep it between topic Very Happy

most of eunos passing through services ends at Bedok. so maybe thats why it has very few services.. personally, i feel the current eunos interchange services may even be extended to bedok or marine parade, but the former is getting too crowded, so Eunos is more convenient..
and yes, the interchange is quite empty most of the time, especially when people may choose to board buses along jalan eunos or Sims Ave (more choices)

erm, and yes, there dont look like it has a service to North East sector, except sv51..

Why not Eunos to JE? (Only displayed 1 direction. Can figure out Dir 2)

JE Int - JE St 13 - JE Central - Boon Lay Way (Boon Lay) - Jurong Town Hall Road - Bukit Batok Road -
Bukit Batok West Ave 3 - Bukit Batok Central (The long way passing by Bukit Batok Int) -
Bukit Batok East Ave 3 - PIE - Toa Payoh Lor 2 - Toa payoh Central - Toa Payoh Lor 6 - Kim Keat Link -
PIE - MacPherson Road - Paya Lebar Road - PIE - Jln Eunos - Changi Road - Eunos Road 2 - Eunos Bus Int.

those wanna take 51 one beware i just took yesterday took me 1.5 hours(on the bus only not counting waiting time) in what seemed like non-jam conditions to get from hawpar vilal to eunos. so if you want to take prepare for sore butts

Between Hougang and Eunos, there are also 25, 55 & 854 to choose from, unless you are referring to Hougang Interchange.

If SBS had been ruthless in the past, Changi Village Terminal would have gone and svc 2 would be a loop service from Eunos Interchange. Presently, I believe 9 & 35 can start from Eunos instead of the overcrowded Bedok Interchange.

Services that left Eunos(as far as i know):

M4
13
15

the road leading up north, ie. Jalan Eunos > Eunos Link > Hougang Ave 3, has daily round the day traffic jams.. its opposite direction is no better. this is due to 3 hot spots: Junction of Kaki Bukit and Ubi ave 2, PIE Exit, Hougang Ave 3 (near the CC). these sections always cause problems for every1, and svcs like 25 55 51 854 daily..

Well it is good if either of these sevices can starts from here.It also serve Eunos Residents to Simei/Airline Rd & Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal respectively.Maybe we can suggest to SBST About this?

Acx1688 SG

i tot SBST would like us to make transfers to get to other destinations.Like to get to Punggol from Eunos, we have to take sv15 to Pasir Ris tfr to sv3;or to Sengkang, sv93 to Comfort Driving ctr tfr sv87. Many a times, i have wrote in, their usual reply would be it’s not possible to travel from one point to another point w/o a tfr, besides there’s a bus fare cap of $1.90. But i support shifting sv9 or sv35 from Bedok to Eunos to increase ridership & provide new links w/o a new svc duplicating existing routes.

This fantasy route may indirectly affect 506 n also a little bit on 61..... Laughing

Maybe if many peoples suggest then they will do somethings Wink

I’m in for another service from Eunos. Personally, I want the service to operate between Eunos and Jurong East. And if possible, try and go along (but not totally) the lines of SMRT Service 61. Service 61 is my favorite bus service until 2001, when SMRT ruined it! It would be a good surprise if SBST would operate Service 61 again OR a close second to this service.

How about EUN - CLE?

EUN Int, EUN Rd 2, Jln Ubi, Geylang Rd, Tg Katong Rd, Dunman Rd, Old Airport Rd, Mountbatten Rd, Nicoll Hwy, Stamford Rd, Hill St, New Bridge Rd, Outram Rd, Tiong Baru Rd, Zion Rd, Ganges Ave, Alexandra Rd, C'wealth Ave, C'wealth Ave West, CLE Int.

Perhaps when the current Bedok Int is scheduled for redevelopment, some of the services serving between Eunos and Bedok will be amended to end at Eunos. What services, it is up to SBS Transit to decide as they know the travel patterns more so I shall not comment.

Svc 61 (now) is a bit annoying! Esp from bt batok direction....

sbst275 SG

Sv 61 rt very long...

Somemore got alternatives Laughing

iamgoondu SG

Yess smRT61 is really very long. Especially now after the completion of Queensway Tunnel, (instead of turning right into Queensway from Commonwealth Drive) to turn from Commonwealth Drive into Queensway SMRT61 has to turn left into Queenway and then make a U-TURN at the Queenway/Commonwealth Junction!

More than a kilometer was introduced.

Ofcourse little could have be done.

iveco SG

I'm sure it is muc hlonger than 136 trying to turn from Upp S'goon Rd southwest bound into YCK Rd towards AMK direction.

kenny_cai SG

I don't think so! It's a great service in my opinion. Still, SBST could introduce some fair competition for Service 61 (look at how Services 25 & 854 fared!)

sBs_boy SG

From what i feel.. somehow, 854 and 25 got their Own travel patterns.. for 25.. it is used mainly to bring ppl from AMK to Bedok while 854 is to bring ppl from YISHUN to Bedok...
