Why single out SMRT? If SBST is free to roam in all parts of Singapore, seek help from both SBST as well. If SMRT rejects proposed new service route, suggest same route to SBST. SMRT or LTA should not stop SBST from initiating new routes in those areas.

In 00/01, Sembawang had 14035 units, CCK had 35195 units.

PTC had the following service audit in 2003:

Number of trunk services for each HDB town based on Dwelling Units (DU) 1 per 3,000 DUs (no MRT) or 1 per 3,500 DUs (with MRT)

Based on above fact, Sembawang should have 4 trunk services, and CCK should have 10 trunk services.

And now Sembawang has 4 trunk services?

Remember the number of dwelling units were as at mar00.

Sembawang town currently has 6 trunk services 167, 856, 859, 962, 980 and 981. As for Choa Chu Kang town, currently it has 8 trunk services 67, 172, 188, 190, 925, 927, 975 and 985.

And yes, they are trunk services no matter the length of the routes or whether they operate at peak hours or not.

One word to say about SMRT - mo chap!

no interest in bus operations. and cut corners here and there.
live example are, trains are damn crowded, be it peak hour and non peak hour.
same goes to the bus services.

SMRT is hopelessly hopeless!

Only Serangoon Ave 3 between Serangoon Ave 2 and Lor Chuan may not be suitable for DDs to ply due to the tight left turn from Lor Chuan into narrow Serangoon Ave 3. Anyway I will be passing there onboard service 58 this coming afternoon and see for myself the road condition there.

i dont think there is height restriction at these places. however the road there has been diverted and probably narrower due to the building of Lorong Chuan MRT, but i think DD can still go there?
