iamgoondu SG Not sure if it's a good or bad news! Eastern and Bukit Timah Lines will be ready by 2025. According to a report in http://www.cna.tv/stories/singapore/view/31160/1/gb/.html, yct said that the 2 lines will be ready in 20~25 years! I think it's just a long wait! And a very conservative reply. For those who have been anticipating for these 2 lines, I'm sorry to tell you, you got to wait for another 20 years!

gorby107 SG Later in 20 years time MRT dominate the transport system and not bus anymore as it may withdraw due to duplication with MRT line like the NEL which a lot bus is being diverted or withdrawn
gorby107 SG If like that we should have action to preserve the bus services or else next time there would be left only a few services as the MRT serves the whole island. PTC should do action now as the ridership for the bus is dropping since 1997
medicheng SG by then the MRT will be the primary transportation system in sg. buses only required at the most travel from one town to another, like buses 101, 112, 113 and 119. lesser long distance travelling bus services.
