From what i feel, Svcs like 147-107, 81-82-119-80-101-113 ,
I DO NOT agree that this is actually consider
as a duplication. To what i feel/see, a Duplication means that the
route of a particular bus service is 80% the same as the other svc
affected. if like what your have mentioned whereby
101-119-81-113-82 ‘Duplicate’ along Upp Serangoon Rd and 147-107
along Upp Serangoon Rd to Bendemeer Rd. If like that your have say
whereby the above mentioned services are consider duplicating each
other, That would mean that >75% of all Routes in Singapore are
duplicators. Each route is there because of a purpose. e.g.113/101
are feeders of Hougang Area. 82/119 are School Bus Service. 80 and
81 got each of their own demands. IF 2
services have the same demands (Students/Adults) and running
parallel against each other of at least 80%, They Would
NOT even be there in the very first place.
This post is just my opinion and it does NOT
refer to any of the forumates in SGForum in particular.
