Some lao chiao bus captians can make the vehicle speed but the speedo still stays at 25km/h. If you don't believe ask Carbikebus.

Took a mk3 SBS 797? svc 197 back home yesterday from Bugis at around 5.45pm. When it reached AYE in the direction of Jurong, the bus driver chiong liao. How do i know tat? The bus was overtaking vehicles travelling in the middle lane and was on par with vehicles on the far right. So i guess it shld be 75-80km/h. Can’t be 90km/h bcoz the rush hour traffic was rather heavy.
