Why does the trident hold its breath at times? Mr. Green
When it brakes, just bf it halts, it vibrates violently, and holds its breath. Then after stopping, 1 second later, hold breath agin. Then when it is about to move, vibrate and hold again!

i think it is related to the revving up of the engine to disengage of the engine from the drive train. apparently the Trident's (and VSO's) engine is more powerful hence they have to rev up.

can someone give a technical explanation of tis...

what are the proper procedures for malfunctioning of air con buses?
say half way breakdown, do drivers continue the journey?
Half spolit, say upper deck spolit, but lower deck still functioning, still carry on?
same question for bendy bus, front part working, back part not working. still carry on?

Why commuters have no entitlement for refund due to malfunctioning of air con?
Is it fair for us to pay for a sauna bus? since the fare is raising despite the public outcry.
Any one know, please care to share!

Another question, Mr. Green , I noticed a few mkIV dm3500 have a higher clearance than others. Yesterday I saw 2793H, it had a clearance of at least a few inches higher, thought I was dreaming, but I noticed that the wheels were running way below the body. That brought to my mind of a mkIV dm3500 on svc 12. Can anyone enlighten me further? Does it have to do with the kneeling mechanism?

For SBST,If some areas the air-con if malfunction,The BCs will ask the pax whether if they still want to continue their destination or not.Then the BC will proceed if the pax still want to continue but only with alighting activities.Thus the BCs first must remove all service plates to prevent any boarding activities.Once reach the terminating point the BCs will inform the Timekeepers to make a report and off to depot for replacement buses or other instruction by the Technical officers.I incline to think that it is the same procedure for SMRT Buses Cool

P/S:If the paxs want refund,Then they will have to alight and wait for another bus with a complimentary ticket which is valid for 1 month but for a single journey only.

it's the electronic air suspension at work.

kneeling mechanism is part of tis, but it is inactive in this case. it will only be active when the bus has stopped, and it has to be manually activated by the driver.
