SBS418E (30) broke down along Changi Road, just before Jalan Eunos at around 10am. Later seen travelling without front and side desto along Telok Blangah Road at 10.30am and stopped at the bus stop opposite Henderson housing estate.

TIB 867 Z of sv 184 has faulty exit doors or sensors. The first exit has problem closing after Maju Camp and the bus crawled toward Bt Panjang after that.

Got information from fellow bus fans that a sv 61 Habit Bus was involved in an accident / breakdown at Jalan Turi. Services using that road were forced to use Paya Lebar Road to go bac Eunos Int.

On the front page of Friday's edition of Berita Harian, the article about massive floodings over at Geylang/Paya Lebar, had a picture of a Habit Bendy Bus of Service 61, being pushed by 10 students from the nearby Geylang Vocational Institute at Jalan Turi.

On the front page of Straits Times edition on the same day, a picture of passengers alighting from a Service 28 Mark 3 bus accompanied the report on the floodings.

Thanks a million for the picture Yusry. Never have thought the floods was that serious. And to think this was the second widespread flooding in less than a week. See how bad the Geylang floods were.

My mum said the last flood to hit that level was in 1968. Let's wait for 21-23 March and see what kind of floods will we get. Mr. Green

SBS 9817C of Sv. 56 almost collided into a car along Victoria St, 1040 hrs. One female pax injured.
SBS 488C of Sv. 105 has problems engaging third gear.

Scania CAC SBS 3667H of Sv 3 broke down at the (Opp Blk 149A) bus stop on Loyang Ave at about 1:45pm, its load was relatively high, 100% sitting with a few standing that it overloaded the next two buses (Sv 19 & Sv 9) that came along.

VO 3-Axle SBS 9296E of Sv 9 was parked near the bus stop outside Bedok Interchange at about 4:30pm with its parking signal flashing and engine running, the driver was sitting on one of the pax seats...hmm...

Wrong info on SBS 9817C incident. I was on the bus when it happened.

Here's what happened:

SBS 9817 C of Svc 56 nearly had an head-on collision with a car at the junction of Victoria St and Middle Rd @1039 hrs. The car driver was cutting into the driver's lane without signalling at all. Hence, being vv near to the car, the bus driver had to brake suddenly.

As a result, a lady in her late 50s to early 60s sitting behind the rear door had nose bleed and her knee fractured. The bus stopped at the next bus stop (Bef Beach Rd) to alight the passengers. The lady stayed in the bus until paramedics came at around 1100. Seems like SBS 9817 C had to start from another place on its trip back to BSH as he was late to start his trip from Marina Ctr @1059 hrs.

Note: 9817C was still at the bus stop @1110.

And that's the reason why we wait vv long for the bus sometimes...

I forgot the reg, but one of Sv 28’s MK4 Striders has screeching brakes and the speeding bell (one that is supposed to sound at 60 kph) keeps going off, especially when the driver is braking…

In most cases, the screeching sound are from the fanbelt and usually occurs on MK3 and MK4.

Yes, screeching sounds that you hear coming from Mk3s/Mk4s are due to loose fanbelt. Once the fanbelt is tightened, there won't be the screeching sounds already.
