URGENT NEWS FLASH!

SBS1921L (according to ZYX) caught fire and is 3/4 burnt. Based on what I heard on the news this morning, a bus caught fire along Bukit Batok Central, outside Bukit Batok Interchange. I presume this is the bus.

Hmm...that bus is a Sv 63 BBDEP bus...I presume it was cameo'ing on Sv 506?

accoding to what i know...this bus was unconfirmed service at time of death.

peeps got confused as whether the bus is with HGDEP or BBDEP
in any case the bus might be doing 66 or 506 or just plain no service go by tibs territory decided to cathc fire

As reported in Shin Min Daily News (Chinese newspaper), this strider was off service heading to BBDEP for maintenance. It caught fire along Bt Batok East Ave 3 (towards Bt Batok East Ave 6, after Toh Tuck Rd). The driver then drove the bus into the bus bay and escaped.

whoa.. 2 incident today

2nd June 2004:

SBS 0931P of 27 had its rear engine overheated at Tampines Ave 10 (Aft TPE) towards CGA @0935 hrs. Passengers were seen at the bus stop waiting for the next bus.

One hour later @1030 hrs, the passengers were gone, the heat had subsided, but the bus and the driver were still there.

One hour later @1140 hrs, the driver and the bus disappeared. Razz

TIB 0747 L of 969 had a dead Battery Box at Yishun Ave 2 (Opp Yishun MRT) @1410hrs. SMRT mechanics were there to assess the situation.

Forgot to post this yesterday

SBS2730 on svc 36 was taken off service at Changi Airport PTB2 after it got foreign object damage along ECP. It was raining very heavily at that time when a few rocks dropped from a truck in front and the poor bus had the misfortune of speeding over it, generating lift that dented the intercooler and jammed the rear brakes. A vey loud thump was heard.

Kudos to the driver for driving as he could control the bus and coaxed it into PTB2 so that the pax do not need to transfer in the heavy downpour. In fact, the grinding and screeching of the rear wheels was so audible that 2 guys in green was on hand to greet the bus when it pulled into its berth at PTB2. ( and i had a severe ear ache, but was interesting )
