Services which bypass Security Checkpoints

Svc 9, 19 and 89 which go into Changi Airport Cargo Complex have to stop at the checkpoints along Airline Road, where police officers board the buses and conduct routine check, and only pass-holders can use these services to get to the CIAS cargo terminal.

Withdrawn Jalan Kayu feeder services 214E and 214W have to bypass the Seletar Gate Guardroom and inspected by MPs/ RPs. Only pass-holders and camp personnels are allowed to use these services to enter Seletar Camp. But these MPs and RPs guard have been withdrawn a couple of years back and Seletar Gate is now free-access to all vehicles.

SBS 160, 170 and SMRT 950 has to be inspected by police officers at both Singapore and Johor customs.

Any such services u guys know which pass through security checkpoints ??

Is 268 and 265 entering the AMK bus depot considered as bypass security checkpoints? If so, former 321 is also one of such services.

Is there a security checkpoint at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal? Where sv 35 goes there.

What about 90 and 94, which goes to PLAB?

don't think so, 35 loops at the bus stop outside the terminal building, likewise for 90, 94

i think SMRT 177 loops outside mindef also

If u've taken the changi airport services 24, 27, 36, 53, 858 etc to PTB 1 or 2, u'll notice there is a cisco officer guarding the entrance to the basement terminal and the barrier will auto-open for the buses entering the basement. But it's still free access by any passenger.

I think you mean pass by? Bypass means avoiding a place.

The present Seletar camp gate is where service 103 loops. Beyond this gate is a restricted area.

Service 189A used to pass thru security checkpoint to enter Pasir Panjang ferry terminal, as told by a service captain driving this service.

Are the public allowed to travel on jurong island bus services or is it only for those working there. Question

You can't pass thru the checkpoint into Jurong Island if you do not have a pass. I used to enter Jurong Island last year for some working trips by a car. I had to exchange for a special pass with my I/C at the checkpoint & fill up a form before being allowed to enter. The form will ask for your particulars and your purpose of visit. Police will stop your car to inspect your car-boot. You are also NOT ALLOWED to bring any camera into the island with you.

All workers have to go the gates that's similar to the MRT fare gates & metal detectors. But as I'm driving, I only need to scan my pass before the vehicle barrier.

In the early days when the causeway was just completed, everyone had free access into the island. But after the 911 incident, security came in place.
