Newbie here...just got a 08' Civic 1.8L(A) with in house
bodykit, will like to change the rims and tyres, need advice.
How much can i trade in my Honda original tyres and rims? my car
is 1 week old and I would like to change into 17 inch Rims...and
new tyres....
What brands are good (both rims and tyres), how much, where are
the trusted workshops, dealers?
My budget is around $1000-1200. Is that enough???

ur rims with tyres and trade in worth about $600-$800 depending on
the tyre shop.
taiwanese brands are good. but they are not as lightweight as
those japanese made ones. but still, they will weigh the same as ur
stock ones.
taiwanese brands, $1.2k is barely enough.. 1.5k with tyres are
more likely.
japanese lightweight ones, prepare to pay $1k PER piece. so its
about $4k + tyres.. good ones would be about $150-$200 / piece of
tyre depending on ur preference. $200 x 4 = $800.. $4.8k for a good
set of 17" japanese rims.
since its just a 1.8 civic (no offence).. ure prob not gonna do
much modifications.. the new r18 engine cannot be like the older
models.. just get taiwanese brands..
