Service 855

TIB1133B SG

Should it ply Bt Purmei Ave in both directions or is the current route good enough? If it enters Bt Purmei, it can help to enhance links between the housing estate and HarbourFront MRT station.

Any opinion on this?

it is likely that an SBST service will do the job as HarbourFront MRT is run by SBST. however, it is unlikely given that most commuters now have no problems transferring to Tiong Bahru MRT by service 123.

TBR to Bt Purmei seems further, IMO. Perhaps someone suggest this to SMRT to amend 855 as proposed.

Well...if 855 amend to Bt Purmei..good lah but i think the current route is better.

How far is Bukit Purmei Ave ( the circus ) away from Lower Delta Rd? It won’t be a problem if it is less than 400m away, still can walk. If 855 turn into Bukit Purmei Ave, the fare stages and the travelling time will increase. 131 can also turn into Bukit Purmei Ave.

If your proposal is accepted...

*** Prepare for higher fares.

*** Prepare for longer waiting times

131 takes a longer route to HBF. 855 is more direct. Furthermore, there are only 2 bus stops along that stretch of road (Os & Opp Blk 109). I remember 605 counted them as half-stages (something like 155 inside MPS Est).
