A notice regarding the closure of path from Sun Plaza to Sembawang Vista (Blk 315) for the construction of bus interchange is up.

The path is expected to reopen in end October 2005.

i have seen digging going on from my house here but the area have not been fence up yet.still have to wait for one more year before the interchange is ready Sad .

Up till now there's no artist impression for the bus interchange. However I expect the interchange to look something like Bt Panjang, former Sengkang and AMK Temp Int if it's temporary.

I believe fencing would be up once the function by the temple Tien Yun Dian is done.

Also the structures for the stainless steel temporary covered walkways (I presume) are being set up along Sembawang Drive (Towards Sembawang Ave).

If 859 and 962 combine, then it would not be necessary for them to terminate in the new Sembawang Int. 859 and 962 can be serving between Yishun and Woodlands, and just pass by the Sembawang Int. Maybe new bus routes will be added into the Sembawang Int.

yeah i hope new service will be introudced..since sembwang interchange will be operated by SMRT. i hope new service will give them plenty to choose either bus or mrt...

Are you even sure about this? Last time I went (about 2 weeks back), I didn’t see any empty space around Sembawang MRT. But even so, the population in Sembawang is still too small to have an interchange.

So, anyone wanna guess the services calling there? I'll go first:

980 (for sure, if they decide to abolish Admiralty Rd West Terminal)
962 (if it survives this long, it might call there as a loop service from Woodlands)
859 (same as above, except you replace "Woodlands" with "Yishun")
167 (might be cut into 2 services)
171 (might be extended here, but 75% chances that the answer is NO)
981 (might call here instead of Sembawang MRT)

167 & 980, ok, 167 might be renumber at the same time. maybe 982? and some feeder service 983 or 98X (guess only lah) will cover up the Admiralty Rd West ter and Sembawang rd end Ter.

Isn't 859 an Yishun service? the 85X range is Yishun buses except for 858 beginning from Woodlands..

Anyway, I think it might be possible that 859 will terminate at Sembawang. Smile

Hello. It's been long since I've entered a reply. Has anyone considered Service 965? It might be diverted to call at the interchange en route to Yishun/Sengkang via Gambas from Woodlands.

Any possibilities?
