sbst275 SG SBS 160 - Jurong East to Kota Raya II SBS 170 - Queen St to Larkin (Red plate) SBS 170 - Kranji MRT to Kota Raya II (Blue plate) SMRT 950 - Woodlands Regional Int to Kota Raya II Causeway Link CW1 - Kranji MRT to Larkin Causeway Link CW2 - Queen St to Larkin (Express) (Launching in Oct) Causeway Link CW3 - Jurong East to Larkin (Via 2nd link) (Launching in Oct) Causeway Link CW4 - JUrong East to Larkin (Same as CW3 but express) (Launching in Oct) SJE - Queen St to Larkin (Express)
kengkia SG what are e things to take note when u reached woodlands & malaysian checkpoint taking sbs smrt buses....like wad i need to bring etc..
sbst275 SG Passport Best is to use ez-link card as you can have free transfer with either service when crossing over to checkpoint Like 170 - 160 - 170 160 - 170 - 160 It will be free rebates ($0.63) *Look out for 170. If you want to go Larkin, make sure you take the red one If you take 950, wait long long... If you missed it, you have to wait for at least 8 mins... 160/ 170 combination is 1 - 4 mins
sbst275 SG Fares SBS 160/ 170 (From Kranji) : To Kota Raya To Kota Raya: $0.63 - $0.83 (Card) $1.00 (Cash) SBS 170 (From Kranji) : To Larkin To Larkin: $1.03 - $1.13 (Card) $1.30 (Cash) *Dif range as it cost more to take same sv for entire journey SMRT 950 To Kota Raya: $0.83 (Card) $1.00 (Cash) SJE $2.40 (Cash) CW1 Cash: $1.30
^tamago^ SG CW1 from Kranji MRT to W'lands/Johor Checkpoint S$0.80 Kota Raya II S$1.00 Larkin S$1.30 it appears Triton has some intra-JB svcs going around, like 501, 502 & 503. i never seen them 4 days ago and now the Dennis buses are popping out all over JB. i used to only see them in KL.
sbst275 SG No wonder it is not popular now, it is more expensive BTW, who wants to go to Woodlands Checkpoint nia? Anyway, 950 loading is not that good as SBS tamago, not just YCK, YIS or WDL... Entire NSL got SBS poster on their better service
sBs_boy SG Why donT LTA built a Bus Terminal At kranji ?? Called Kranji Bus terminal or something.. thIS way, CW1, 170 and 160 can all terminate over there..
Superbus SG Remember the Government proposal to KTMB to shift their Tanjong Pagar Station to Kranji? A bus terminal might be build there, something like Kranji Transportation Hub. Although this was not mentioned in the papers, it might just happened.
Superbus SG It is extremely premature to say that SMRT 950's loading is not as good as SBST's 160 or 170. Bear in mind that it is not even the second day of operation and you are making that assumption. The SBST 160/170 combo poster was also put up at Tanah Merah MRT busstop.
the Bear SG 160 is murder to take... the bus barely gets out of 2nd gear... will try the yellow bus when it starts from Jurong East.. if it's express, it's even better!
sbst275 SG When I saw the news, it is double confirmed There was no passenger waiting at the quaratine area for passengers for 950. While there are 40 - 45 passengers at SBS side
sbst275 SG Fares to and from From Kota Raya to Kranji SBS combo - $0.63 (Card) $0.45 (Cash) *Converted from MYR Causeway Link - $0.45 (Cash) *But cash will be more ex if you take MRT With MRT (Say fare of $1.04) Card: $1.42 Cash: $1.49 From Larkin to Kranji SBS combo - $1.03 (Card) $0.59 (Cash) Causeway Link: $0.59 (Cash) With MRT Card: $1.82 Cash: $1.63 Return Kota Raya: Card: $1.42 Cash: $2.04 (MRT + $1.00) Larkin: Card: $1.82 Cash: $2.34 (MRT + $1.30) *Still, taking SBS services is still overall cheaper
kuekj SG any possibility of having a bus route that operates via second link? because from those cameras during news time u'll notice that causeway quite packed at times while 2nd link about 40% of the time half empty.. though i know going to kotaraya and larkin will take extra time from 2nd link. perhaps another bus route from jurong east passing through boon lay interchange and tuas terminal before going through the tuas checkpoint? it'll benefit residents there and people who work in the tuas industrial area, and perhaps also ntu students.
