Are regos recycled?

Thought of this yesterday..

Since all the buses got regos from SBS 1 Z - SBS 9888 Y (can even go up to 9999) that means SBST will have 10000 buses available.

Anyone here who has been in touch with buses since SBS78? If some buses are sent to scrap, will these regos be left untouched, or will they be reused many years down?

Same for SMRT buses.. are they recycled? I doubt they have such a large fleet though Razz

Don't forget 5625+ range following the LA regoes.

Also, why are the Mk IV Strider regoes split in such a manner like 1896-1999, 2593-2688? So messy.

BTW, how many Mk IV DMs are there?

18xx-1999 becos the albions took 2000? - 239x ... and the O305s took the rest..

alot of regos regged in the past were early 2000 3000, and 4000 5000 6000 series.

TIBS reused a range of regos once. while sbst afaik never reuse regos.
