JB already has a much sanitised system as compared to KL, by
virtue of its proximity to Singapore and hence, the service has to
be of certain standard in order to attract Singaporean
shoppers.
I been to KL for a week before, and I absolutely agree with
IntraKota about KL buses. If fare hijacking by the driver himself
for cigarettes were to happen in Singapore, I think people with
very low tolerance such as Susan would rip this forum to pieces and
maybe torch down LTA and ComfortDelgro headquarters too
The frequency of the buses there are rather
random, with services to outlying areas having freq of around 1hr
for some. Intrakota is considered to be quite good in KL already,
as compared to the services offered by Metrobus and Parkmay Bhd, of
which the last one absolutely sux in terms of service. For example,
the aircon doesnt work at all, the bus is badly maintained and the
interior looks like some typhoon went through them for a few. Their
fares are also slightly cheaper than Singapore, between RM0.50 for
a triton shuttle to RM2.60 for trunk services.
