IsIsTRD SG Saw the above mention at Clementi yesterday. Seems like a new model SBST has just launched? Any idea what is this model and how many of them on the road so far?
Zilchster SG Actually these are the Volvo B10M Mk 4 with Soo Chow Body (local bodybuilder)... These buses are actually the ex-Sentosa B10Ms...now operating on Turf City operations (under PA-rego)...SBST has converted 10 of these into their own colors...2 are used for training...the rest progressively being introduced into revenue svc
^tamago^ SG there are 9 in SBST livery (red-purple). the other 11 are on Turf City buses on SBSL livery (red-white). wat u saw was possibly 8023H, 8026A or 8027U. these 3 are alrd on 78. the retrofitting of the engine seems good. 8026A has the new SBST red coloured seats while the rest use Strider-like blue seats. 8024E and 8025C are a training buses with amdep and hgdep.
IsIsTRD SG Oic…..thanks for reply….btw any clues that SBST will be assemble new Superbus or Single Deck Air-con bus to replace its coming to be 15yrs buses?
leeJZ SG A new DD demonstrator is already parked inside hgdep, think it is a new Volvo bus. should hit the roads by the year's end i think.
IsIsTRD SG Slightly side track….what is the fleet size for Svc 111? I presume all of them are located at ARBP, rite?
leeJZ SG i think 111 buses park at BBDEP, but havent seen the timesheet yet, so cant confirm. as for its fleet Mk4 Strider SBS 2648 U Volvo Olympian (AC) SBS 9200 G SBS 9247 Y SBS 9281 Y SBS 9285 L SBS 9295 H SBS 9319 Z SBS 9496 U SBS 9563 J total of 9 buses
^tamago^ SG for me, i think 111 is arbp, but i also have to check the timesheet. other new buses coming in are: 10x Volvo B10BLE-CNG (5 in slbp, 4 in bbdep, 1 in bram) 100x Mercedes-Benz O.500LE (CNG or diesel not sure) 1x suspected Volvo B7R Demo
IsIsTRD SG i think 111 buses park at BBDEP, but havent seen the timesheet yet, so cant confirm. as for its fleet Mk4 Strider SBS 2648 U Volvo Olympian (AC) SBS 9200 G SBS 9247 Y SBS 9281 Y SBS 9285 L SBS 9295 H SBS 9319 Z SBS 9496 U SBS 9563 J total of 9 buses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I suppose those Olympian are transfer from HG Depot after the rationalisation last Sept. So do you know which svc that runs by BB or AR is transfer to HG due to the rationalisation? Normally they do one to one exchange of assets....
sbst275 SG Originally posted by SBS9818A: Sv. 111 buses park in ARBP.To add on, ARBP is similar to BBDEP as a sub-depot... But as with BRAM/ AMDEP case, not ALL park at bth 'depots'
leeJZ SG Originally posted by SBS9818A: Sv. 111 buses park in ARBP.BBDEP must be very empty then... AFAIK no services were transferred to HGDEP after svc 111 moved to full ARBP control.
sbs&tibs SG Yeah BB is quite empty as his CCK and BBT services bade farewell to it by the end of year 2000. talking about this, does anyone know BB deployed which bus on 106? I knew 106 was majority AMDEP at that time.
iveco SG I thought some LO3X might have been deployed by BBDEP on 106. But I remember 9628 doing a cameo on this service. Rare to see VO3X on 106 in those days. IMO, ARBP can close & be swapped for another plot of land in Loyang. Then PSR svcs (& possibly some TAM ones) can be transferred from BNDEP, freeing up space for the "displaced" BDK Int svcs under the West Dist outpost.
Windy_hates_B10TLs SG Howdy ^egg^! The OC.500LEs are CNG, like TP-1854 which came in from perth earlier in the year. Same body, although I think the 6 speed gearbox is overkill. The double deck demo in HGDEP is apparently a B10TL with a Voith (ie, scrap it), and not a pretty looking body on it either.
sbs&tibs SG SBS9628G is 106's AMDEP permer. It is now a BBDEP 166 bus. IMO, the land should be reserve for BDK, TAM, PSR, etc and svcs like 39, 22, 25, etc.
