I take 2838M to school every day, and have realised that the
Voith gearbox used on this bus is different from the rest of the
DM3500 Mark 4s. When deccelerating, the gear
change is more like the Voith 4-Speed rather than the D863.3. Also, the buttons that have D,N,R on it to change
gear is similar to the ZF and earlier Voith gearbox buttons.
DM3500 Mark 4s have Black “gear buttons”.
2838M has Red “R” button and White “D” and “N” buttons. does it
have a different gerbox? Why?
