it should be a bendy from kjdep. probably 67, 180 or 190. think i have seen tis but have not spotted any difference. will take a look at it again.

1252R has been spotted on 855 today. ex-CSS UD. first UD spotted to do revenue svc.

of cos, there is the 1257C (CSS310U) tat did cameos on 171, 851 & 852 is now a amdep SP. and 1256E, another UD, has been spotted to be with amdep as well.

also, jus to confirm, do u mean TIB1217 or TIB1017D? TIB1017D (and TIB1018B) is one of the 2 Volgren (Smiley Bus) Lances in Singapore. both are permanent on svc 851.

What about the rest of the UDs (36x-37x)? Where are they based?

Also, why so many Ex-CSS buses deployed nowadays? Is CSS left with only the Hispano-bodied DAFs now?

they are scattered around the depots. used as training buses, and some are deployed often on 75, 187, 853, 961 and 981, with cameos on 852, 855 and 970.

i suppose since the ex-CSS buses could still run, why not use them? CSS still has UDs for 608. at least 10 Hispano DAFs are being sold to New Zealand operator Bayes of Diary Flat near Auckland around July, and their regos are CSS270/1/4/5/7/80/1/2/3/7. DAFs are expected to be scrapped or exported.

after 605's withdrawl, they have excess buses so they are re-deployed back on SMRTB. in fact, i think these buses were previously transferred to SSB from TIBS.

do look out for "Anything..." thread cos all the spottings are reflected there previously, about 1252R, 1256E and 1257C. also, the other regos in between has already been registered and u can expect to see them on the roads soon.

today, u can catch 1252R on 855.

1257C's current duty is 852 or 171 on weekdays and 851 on weekends. however, expect this to change as it is a AM SP still.

there will be a lot of ex-CSS buses being registered as 12xx. tat was already expected soon after the announcement for withdrawl of 605 came out early august after spottings of repainted UDs in wldep. 1257C s the only Lance in this re-registered series, the rest are UDs.
