That stretch, there is bus - NEL connection at Boon Keng or
Potong Pasir. In fact, not all passengers complaint 97 as NEL is
much much faster. Like from Hougang station, it takes just 24 mins
to HBF while 97 took more than 1 hr
Then, 56 would be redundant as on weekend, many take from Toa Payoh
to Marina Ctr. 56 and 97 is actually to serve bth sides terminal to
Marina as that's the only bus. There are guidelines on bus rt
changes set by PTC such as lost of links (How are they affected?
Walking dist? Convience?).
If everyone pulls out from Marina, next time if there is no buses
to Marina, who to blame?
