tranquilice SG This happened on Tuesday 05 Feb 2001, 6.50am. A service 285 Mk3 did not turn left from West Coast Rd into Clementi Ave 2 (towards Clementi interchange), instead it went straight. The driver, after committing his mistake, turned right into Clementi West St 2 (the stretch near Ginza Plaza) to continue back to the normal route, but what he did was an illegal right turn as heavy vehicles are prohibited to use that right turn, and I was right, the bus went up the kerb. I guess some pax waiting for service 282 along Clementi West St 2 may be shocked to see a service 285 bus in the opposite direction.

Whitley Rd Aft Tanglin CC/Raffles Town Club pair Dunearn Rd SCGS pair Swiss Cottage Pri Sch pair Bef Goldhill Ave (tis bus stop wasn't there then) Anglo-Chinese Sch/City Towers pair Chancery Ct/Balmoral Plaza Newton Circus pair Newton Rd Newton Stn pair Environment Bldg/Hotel Asia pair Scotts Rd Far East Plaza/Royal Plaza pair ......... it also plied Esplanade Dr/Bridge. in 2000, svcs 501 & 508 are the other svcs to use the bridge, and of the 3 svcs, only 501 stopped at the bus stop opposite the then-under-construction Esplanade Theatres. i supposed it skipped more bus stops than now when it originated from Woodlands before this, when it was introduced sometime in late 1998/1999. anyone knows?
