Yoz,

Spotted this bus today at around 11.17am...along AMK Ave 1 in the direction towards Lor Chuan/Boundary Road.

Saw a plate at the rear window of ths bus...not sure wat it is...it is a 12m bus.

It looks rather different from the mainline SBST fleet.

Rego is SBS 8025C in SBST livery...

Looks like they are going to replace the MK2 soon... They are trying to sell it now through the internet notice

Scania may be next as they want to be fully aircon by 2007 (Heard from SBST staff)

They have gotten a lot of complains from BC that there are cracked ceilngs to lau jui(I have friends working in SBST)

tis bus rego is active. it's most likely registered on 25th may 2004 (can't be 25th nov 03?). check the rego's road tax details at www.onemotoring.com.sg > LTA (Drop-down) > Online Enquiries > Enquiry of Road Tax Payable.

from ths stats, it looked like it has a radio installed. road tax is $770, which means it has something else added to make its c.c. volume higher. for reference, for buses less than 10 yrs old, road tax of a diesel 12m is $700, a CNG 12m is $800, a Bendy/DD is $900.

also, it has to pay for a radio licence of $27 p.a., which could mean it has radio on-board (not to be mistaken for TVMobile).

i can confidently tell u that 8019X (right after the Darts) to 8028U has been registered on the same day with the same configuration.

dunno. will try to camp ard amk area since i live there.

looking at it, since there are 10 buses, could there be the remote possibility that tis is one of the 10 CNG buses camping ard in SBST depots? note that tis is quite remote, though i can tell u at this point 2990 to 2999 is not registered with LTA yet.

Sorry to spoil your mood,But i did saw Three Ex-Sentosa B10M(SBST Livery)with Training bus destos @ Punggol Central,Maybe that solves the mysteries of the new buses Cool

Don't tell me the Ex-Sentosa B10Ms have returned to parent firm SBST? Then why are the O405 DMs formerly on 711, 712 & 713 still in old livery?

remarkably smooth mark 4s if u taken turf city bus before...wheeee

they do have radios installed. the L113CRL certainly have radios. once took this scania to turf city and the driver on perfect ten..shoik

i wish:-

the other 10 that are doing turf city be re-registered as SBSt buses...and that SBSleisure use some of those coaches that they have from comfort on the turf city routes....

the L113CRLs shd be fitted with a second door and be used for revenue service.. they are afterall true zero step buses....

Spotted SBS 8025C twice today.

1st time was in the morning of between 9am to 9.05am...the bus was turning left from Bishan Road into Bishan Street 11...it had a red plate with words...there was some distance...could not read it at the back window pane of the bus...anyway the bus turned left and I got a look at the left side of the bus...had 2 exits...the back of the bus looks like the Turf City volvo bus (i saw one of the PA-registered Volvos later). Saw the left side, the side desto looks very much like the Turf City Volvo bus.

Saw 8025C again in the afternoon at around 2.20pm to 2.25pm. The bus had turned out from AMK Ave 10 into AMK Ave 1...there were a few bus drivers on board. Saw the front desto...no EDS, not very big. Around the size of the Turf City Volvos. Saw the interior of the bus. After the front entrance of the bus, got something...grills or wat...something like racks...or wat...the seat backs were facing the side body of the bus...3 independent ones if I am not wrong. Caught the Volvo sign on the left hand side of the bus...at the rear.

I think they are trying to convert it back into SBS fleet as they are underutitlised other than the Turf City route

A fellow forumer spotted SBS 8024E at Serangoon Interchange this afternoon. Anyway it's confirmed that it's a Volvo B10M :p

the 3 side-facing seats... they are on the left or right of the bus. i presume it's right. the turf city B10M's configuration is 4 seats on the right at front of bus, right behind the driver.

SBST 802x bus spotted at 6.54am at Thomson Rd (MacRitchie Reservoir) towards Braddell Rd. can't see rego cos sky is dark and bus on opposite side of road.
