NEL Rationalisation Phase 2 and merger of services 185 & 989

can anyone write down the routes of all the express services?

sbst275 SG

Rather I will rephrase,

The 3 svs end their 1 direction journey there bef looping back or terminate there itself

tranquilice SG

What about services 70X, 107X, 133 and 162X? Do the bus captains change side desto? Or the side destos are printed one-sided only?

sbst275 SG

Yes there are 1 direction desto

tranquilice SG

Why some SBST loop services have both-sides side desto while the rest have one-side only?

sbst275 SG

Depends on their arrangement (Like destination details, how many?)

Like Sv 101, they dun need as they can squeeze into 1 plate

leeJZ SG

While some do not even change!

Take 18 69, the destos will display XX BEDOK for the whole journey, even after the loop.

sbst275 SG

Not some, but a lot

6, 11, 15, 17, 18, 19, 23, 29, 35, 36, 37, 60, 62, 64, 68, 69, 78, 79, 82, 83, 84, 90, 91, 92, 94, 95, 96, 101, 103, 119, 123, 125, 133, 142, 158, 179, 191, 194, 195, 199, 200, feeders, JIS, Townlink, 400, 401 (I dun think so actually), 403, 405...

Rest have to check.

leeJZ SG

Nope I mean that 18 69 have only one sided destos.

There are XX BEDOK plates but no XX TAMPINES plates. While the services you listed above have only one plate but the details are going both directions.

Say 19, the plate is

19 TAMPINES via
Tampines Ave 7
Loyang Ave
Changi Airport Cargo Complex
Loyang Ave
Tampines Ave 7

the other kind is 15's

15 PASIR RIS - MARINE PARADE (LOOP) via
Tampines Aves 7/5/4/1
Kaki Bukit Ave 1
Eunos Link
Joo Chiat Place
Telok Kurau Rd

quite different from 18, which has the Bedok plate but no Tampines plate -

18 BEDOK via
Tampines Ave 7
Tampines Ave 2
Bedok Reservoir Rd
Bedok Interchange

sbst275 SG

Funny, but it is unwise for SBS to do so as it looks funny.. Bedok but end up at Tampines

iveco SG

They can solve this problem with 18 by merging it with 7:

Imagine this:

18 CLEMENTI via
Tampines Ave 7/2
Changi Rd
North Bridge Rd
Orchard Blvd
Holland Rd

18 TAMPINES via
Holland Rd
Orchard Rd
Victoria St
Sims Ave East
Tampines Ave 2/7

Btw, when did 17 become loop?

On another note, 106 better off if merged with 85, but SBST & SMRT have too much rivalry.

tranquilice SG

Service 17 is all the while a loop service, from the fact that buses go to the berth to pick up pax after alighting pax. The buses do not park at Bedok interchange.

The Transitlink guides indicated it as 2-directional until recently.

sbst275 SG

Needs to change plate are: 73, 138, 163….

sbst275 SG

On Sv 17, this was the prob. SBS ended service 17, 73, 163 at bth interchanges till last year or so (But was loop though). Then transitlink amended it as well.

As for 106, I dun think so. Their route are completely dif, 1 goes south and the other goes West

SBS9818A SG

Sv. 163 still resets fare stages at TPY, same for Sv. 73

sbst275 SG

73 is already a loop sv, end fare stage is 29

sbst275 SG

NEL Phrase 2

It was around this time that the angry parents put their complains into the TV to pressurise SBS

Now 136 frequency is back to 7-10 mins

iveco SG

163 is loop? Didn't it start from TAP? I thought only 159 was loop.

106 bettr off integratd with 85 as follows: Current route to Orchard Rd, 85 route to SKG.

sbst275 SG

These are the actual loop services

73: Loop at Toa Payoh
90: Loop at RSAF Paya Lebar
142: Loop at Potong Pasir
155: Loop at Marine Parade
159: Loop at Sengkang
