Where do last shift buses return to

where do last shift buses return to for SBS services that are controlled by 2 depots.

my question arised as i was taking svc 51 just now... it was 11 plus and i boarded a MK2 DM from JRE to HGN. after service where will it return since SLBP and HGDEP both have tt bus type.

I have also taken a DM Merz around the same time in the same direction before. do the same theory qualify?

well, the bus will obviously return to the depot where it came from right? u juz need to know which depot the bus comes from.

all 51 Mk2 DM CAC buses (1847-1849) come from HGDEP

Maybe SBST makes the buses terminate @ the interchange closest to the buses depot so drivers can drive a shorter distance?

So in the case of Sv 51, perhaps buses leaving JRE at the late night hours are from HGDEP, while buses leaving HGN late are those from SLBP?

I don't think it's true.

I have board before a service 166 LO 3x (from Ang Mo Kio depot) along Thomson Rd (opposite Thomson Medical Centre) at 11.45 pm. When it reached Clementi, it was already 12.30 am. But it still had to go back to its own depot.

Usually the last bus is the bus that is heading to its own depot direction, on condition that the service controls by 2 depots.

i.e last 28 bus is SBS 0588 Y and the last few 105s from SGN are Mk5s.
SBS 9509 S was still around at 12.20am at TPY. The driver is signing out his last trip at TPY before going to orh orh at BNDEP. Razz

But what I saw is the other way round. Mr. Green I have seen a off-service 14 Superbus along AYE (towards Jurong) exiting at Buona Vista flyover heading to ARBP after midnight, so obviously the bus was coming from Bedok and not Clementi.

SBS 0588 Y last trip was the 12mn bus from TPY, SBS 9509 S ends at TPY at around midnight. Correct, he needs to drive back to BNDEP.

Let's say 28: Tampines - Toa Payoh. Last bus frm TPY and TAM is 12mn. The last buses from the 2 respective places are BNDEP and bram buses. Get what i mean?

Like wise 30: Bedok - Boon Lay. The last buses from the 2 respective places are SLBP and BNDEP buses.

This will only work if its dual depot control unlike services like 100 131 139 145 153 etc.

It may be the case for the last buses, but not neccessarily for the 2nd last bus. Rolling Eyes

SBSt has long since set out a return route for each and every bus service. any bus driver found deviating from the return route is....demerit pointed

for example 132 goes by my house to return to HGDEP

851 and 963 use my house too

if the driver is driving a superbus. the route had been designed to aviod at low bridge areas.

By any means,They must return to their respective depot(for dual or triple controlled),Refuelling,Demounting coinbox,Buswash and garaging the bus in the selected parking lot. Cool

this bus belongs to AMDEP. It can go to HGDEP for Refilling, right? But cannot park @ HGDEP?

Refilling depends on the timetable indicating where to refuel
As for parking, they have to follow where the bus is from... BTW Hougang is East dist while AMDEP is Central dist.

For example 161 VSO(AMDEP) is @ HGC INT at the moment. It can go HGDEP for refilling, that is what I mean.

Can. 161 and 168 VSOs refuel during the day at HGDEP and BNDEP respectively. However, dismounting of the coinbox and other things are prob only done during the night refueling at the home depot.

Everything at a corporation have to go by the book... So, refer to timetable of any service. BC cannot just without authorisation to go for refuel

Hougang is West and AM is East.

VSOs are from AMDEP cos they go woodlands.

Most of other buses are from their own areas.

HGN - HGDEP
BDK - BNDEP

However VSOs go to HG and BN to refill cos its convenient for them than going from WDL all the way to AMDEP to refill and back again. troublesome right?

Refill diesel is refuel diesel.
Coin box thing is coin box thing.

Done under 2 seperate things.

HGDEP is considered west district in SBST terms. Kinda messed up like the GRCs.
