Strange AMK depot.

They have volvo single decker buses but it seems that SBST very rarely puts them on services like 24,53 or other servcices that operates mercedes or scanias. Vice versa you don't see scanias on most mercedes or volvo bus fleet service.

I feel that the depots should spread all the buses around and let all the services to operates that particular bus type once in a while. Any thoughts of this?

Strange that 143 is one of the important routes and yet they are still operating the old LOs since day 1 operating DD Superbus. Perhaps they might received a couple of CNG volvo buses. Who knows.

AMDEP's 20 odd VOs are reserved for 88 (specially x-ferried from BNDEP for it - one of SBST favorite services) and a few for 70. By comparison it has 100+ LOs, so 143 gets them.

It would be troublesome for services to keep switching fleets.

LeeJZ : I'm clearer than you about the Sv. 88 VO issue. Your statement is only half correct. Only the following VOs were X-FERRED from HG/BN.

9276M - HGDEP 25
9423E - HGDEP 7
9424C - HGDEP 7
9482J - BNDEP 196
9580J - BNDEP 196
9613Z - BNDEP 88
9617M - BNDEP 88
9618K - BNDEP 88
9619H - BNDEP 88
9620C - BNDEP 88

The rest are original AMDEP stock. Not to forget AMDEP used to have a number of VOs, from 9628 - 9634, 9637, 9638, 9642. Some are on Sv. 88 while some have been X-FERRED to BNDEP and BBDEP.

ok heres the deal. AMK depot does not have more thna 40 volvo single deckers...the buses have already bene assigned to a service. having volvos on 24 would eb weird as they think...same for 53

HOWEVER we do have volvo cameos lately on 25 76 70 22 frequently lately

When did 9276 went over to AMDEP? How come 25 change fleet after it was totally based in AMDEP instead of using VOs? Now no more MK3 in AMDEP already?
OFF TOPIC: you see, SBST prepare side, long desto for svcs like 3, 38, etc but not for svcs like 24, 53, etc. Why is this so? 38 don't often use side, long desto buses bus why still make for him?

AMDEP no longer has any Mk IIIs, except for 777, which is used for training. 9276M went over to BNDEP to serve Sv. 88, then AMDEP after Sv. 88 went sole AMDEP. Sv. 25 did use VOs when based in AMDEP.

Maybe AMDEP has too many merz that they dont need to send in another type of bus? Laughing

And remember AMDEP only has a small number of Mk4s that will prob remain in their respective perm fleets most times.

So that they can have a stable perm fleet. But it's too much, some sv are better served than others when they have higher demand

9520H I think was a HGDEP bus. I'm not too sure. BTW, 96XX regos are ALSO VO3X.

9520 is now a BNDEP 2 bus, taken it before.

Was there a depot x-fer for 9520H? I know 96XX are also VOs, but what I meant was 9200-9600.

No idea, but 9818 said that it was a HGDEP bus.

Can confirm that 9520 is a BNDEP bus as saw it on 17 lately.
