Which one is the situation?

1. Officers board the bus and check all the passes on the bus, after that, the bus goes in with its original load.

2. Everyone gets off and the bus continues into the complex empty while everyone gets their passes checked. They have to wait for the next bus to enter the complex.

3. If not the above two, then how do they check the passes?

fyi, when i was small, it was option 1. in fact, before security was heightened, they just walked down & took a glance at everyone to make sure they 'look' like they are going in for official business. kids (like i was then) were not allowed in without the accompany of an adult.

now, i dunno.

Situation 1. I have seen it for myself. At the bus stop opposite the pass office, 1 officer will board the bus from the entrance and check the passes of every passengers onboard, then alight by the exit. Passengers can also board at this stop. There is no check in the return journey.

I accompanied my father sometime in the mid 1980s to CACC, onboard service 9 for a fun ride. But the officers "chased us down" the bus because we didn't have the passes. Mr. Green They did check for pass.

Wait, isn't there a dedicated checkpoint after the bus stop? If they don't check there, SATS wasted a fair bit on building the checkpoint IMO.

Yes, there is a dedicated checkpoint after the bus stop, but not for public buses. It's for other vehicles.

Just wish to know, why is the name “Changi Airport Cargo Complex” still in use? It has been re-named as “Changi Airfreight Centre”. You can see this name displayed on a stone structure just before the pass office.

Lolz. When I was P3, I took 9 to CACC without knowing that they will check the bus. Luckily, no police came up and check.
