Were Mk2s on 170 before Mk3s? 1894G still has the “No alighting at KTM bus stop” on top of the alighting door.

Yes. MK2s (Both DM and WA bodied) were used on service 170. They were all taken out after service 170 was converted to full AC service.

Correct. And before Mk IIs were on Sv. 170, B57s were used.

after that the MK2s were dumped all over S’pore. went on 155, 229, 293, 19 etc etc. now most are back BBDEP/ARBP doing 151, 200 and some are AMDEP on 125, 186

The cross broder 170 are only the Alexander PS ones, the DM ones never made it through the border .The DM ones and some Alexander ones served 170A , whlie the Alexander ones does the whole route (which there are very few full route 170 buses) and the shortworking one, Kranji to Larkin (which 170 has most of its buses doing this, then). Mk2 WA stayed on service 170 until Nov 2001, when it was converted to FAC.

guess SBS replaced the aircon buses taken from these services with the MK2s temporarily

In fact, they have been all around now

Buses that do have NAC Mk2 PS body (From what I know) Most had after transfering of NAC 170 in 2002.
In fact, there was no notice of conversion of FAC to PAC service for svs like 125 and 151 (If my memory tells me right)

Ah yes, I remember the Mk IIs on Sv. 3! Lasted for a while.

yeah, i remember being shocked at the sudden influx of NAC MK2 WAs @ Tampines Int. But they were soon transferred back to mainly BBDEP and dumped on svcs like 151 (151 was quietly converted into a PAC svc from a FAC svc)

O yes, Mark 2s NAC buses were in bedok north depot for a while before they were transferred to SL depot.

Taking abt Mk3, 170 had been supposed to use Strider (Look at some which has emergenct exit in Bahasa Melayu) but it was like rejected for no apparent reason.

Something funny, 170 is like a dumping ground. But to many people living in JB, the 170 buses are the best maintained other than the CWL buses

The AMDEP services with Mk II still have them today. For example both 125 and 186 still have Mk II today, and 107 is now a HGDEP service.

All these 4 services were converted without passengers information notice. SBS thinking we thought that 151 was PAC all along. I got this from a stupid SBS reply.

Anyway, not many passengers take these services. So it would have been futile in a sense. For Sv. 151, it's a student service and SBST like doing funny things to student service.
