I remember seeing it last month at downtown. Did anyone went onboard it? It was on trial run. It was titled "Perth"

By the way, how many Volvo CNG buses does SBST have

SBS will have 20 CNG volvo buses on the roads. Only 2 are currently in operation if I am not wrong.

By 2006, all buses have to be replaced to either CNG or Euro 4 standard. So what buses would be coming in?

jus a bit more info:

the 2 Volvo CNG buses, 2988M and 2989K, are running as "demonstrators" on svc 105. tis is cos of the 30% higher costs of running these CNG buses that they run on a special schedule only at peeak hours. i copied down the timesheet and it's found at 2989K Timesheet.

there other 12 CNG buses that are already in Singapore are currently held in bbdep, though i seem to have read somewhere that 2992A is in hgdep.

all these 14 buses' bodywork are from Volgren.

Though higher, they have to buy or the Euro 4 that is coming in next year. It is mandatory by 2006 July

updates: SBS2992A has been registered and slated to be put into service on 2005

meanwhile SBS2988 and 2989 are still doing 105 on the so called trial...no more trail liao i guess

All the buses have been affixed rego plates, they have NOT been registered with LTA yet. Even when 9804P suddenly popped into TPY Int last Feb, it wasn't registered! They still hung the blue, temporary plate.

You forgot that there are a few CNG buses still inside HGDEP plus a few bus chassis Wink

They fix rego plate, then register later. Blue plate will be used ONLY when bus is moving on public road
