The 158A service should let students of DHS alight at the Kg Arang Rd DHS back gate because the congestion along the stretch of TG Rhu Rd from Fort to just after Chinese Swimming club can delay the bus by a few minutes. And these few minutes can mean the life and death difference between being late and being on time.

Because of this, yes, the last 158A bus stops not one minute...but just before the assembly parade starts Very Happy experienced it b4

The 2002 Transitlink bus guide had the 189A service which went past Kent Ridge and to West Coast Ferry Terminal, but i think it was withdrawn. Why and how to get to the Ferry Terminal from now on? Has anybody been there? What issit like?

Service 189A was withdrawn on 04 May 2003. Alternative is service 176 along West Coast Highway and walk in.

Only those who have a pass can enter PPFT. I tried to board service 189A towards PPFT at Kent Ridge terminal but the bus captain asked me to board service 189 instead, because the bus will later pass thru the PPFT checkpoint and pax onboard need a pass to get in.

The reason why pax on service 177 can remain on board is because its route inside MINDEF is not in restricted area. Pax alight at MINDEF car park (MINDEF pass office) and proceed to enter the restricted area.

For service 189A, the bus stop at Pasir Panjang Ferry Terminal (Harbour Dr) is inside PSA restricted area, so only authorised personnel can remain on board. A service 189A captain told me this. Same style like services 9, 19 and 89 at CACC.

Even so I feel that 189A should allow pax on board, and if anyone tries to alight without pass, he cannot enter PPFT, so it WOULD be pointless to alight since PPFT is only one stop. However this theory cannot be applied for Changi Airfreight Ctr.

Service 189A is catered to pax going to and fro PPFT, a restricted area. A bus captain told me that only authorised personnel can enter PPFT, so he refused me to board the bus (service 189A) at Kent Ridge terminal and asked me to board service 189 instead.

Service 189A trips after looping at PPFT, were re-numbered back to service 189.

Actually it would be better if PSA operated their own shuttle service instead of inconveniencing unknowing pax.
