Recently found that the SBS Transit logo painted on the sides (the side that has no doors) of the buses is gone. now got white patch. anyone knows why or is this common?

Superbus SG

Not just the SBS Transit logos, even the old SBS logos are now covered up on some Scanias. Wonder what is going on. I've seen this happening on BNDEP buses, are there buses from other depots with similar stickers?

Cheers and warm regards

There’s one bus i keep seeing plying a service in Sengkang. I have the tendency to think its a feeder. I think 372. Also have the missing logo. Everytime want to see rego, then cannot see.

Not only SBS Transit buses,Even some of TIBS-SMRT buses also don’t had any logos.

Could something be changing??

could be a merge with sbst and tibs. then to save costs all use the red and white liv

This applies to SMRTA Buses also. I do not know what's going on.

Note that there is a Dennis lance behind the 0405.See more @:

Central buses kinda have it too.. or izzit BNDEP? I think my memory is failing..

As for SMRTB, maybe they take out the TIBS logo then when the bus goes for repainting, it's easier for the guys as they can just paint red over and paint the SMRT logo there.

the most common situation is actually very simple. The advertising contract for side sticker/ panel advertisements have lapsed or prematurely terminated, so SBST merely covers up the ad with a white sticker/ remove the ad sticker and cover with a white one, while waiting for a new advertisement to come or a permanent paint job to be done.

Hold it, is that a UK Lance on Sv. 67? At least two buses in Bishan are awaiting ad to be pasted on the side, 222C and 570Y.

Yusry SG

Yes. 1015J to be exact.

The photo shows that the Lance in the photo is the hottest bus in Singapore.

Hmm... You got a point. However, I saw a ASD 76 with the SBSTransit logo relocated from the centre of the side of the bus to a smaller version near the back of the side of the bus. What I think is that SBS Transit is doing the same for all the single-deckered buses so that in future when there are side or panel advertisements, the advertisement would not cover the SBSTransit logo and the logo will not be affected.

whats asd?? hmm..this could be one of the possibilites too..

ASD = Aircon single decker.

3622 also does not have the SBS logo. It was last seen two wks ago on EB88.

The small logo at the side is in white, with purple background, correct? IMO, the brand name is still quite distinct, no need to make any special concessions.

Here has the same cases on Hong Kong Buses, they are so...ugly..... Sad

SBS9816E SG

Yup.... becos i think there's another logo at the end of the bus, which is in White. So i dun think they want to paint another big logo in the middle of the bus, after removal of ad, etc.

SBST Logo on SBS 2764 S has a weird placing. It starts from the front of the bus, to the side of the bus, before the entrance of it.

It's like seeing a big patch of white on a gold livery, right?
