leeJZ SG 2 is the backbone of EWL, so it duplicates as many EWL stations as possible. Plus no point amending to GEC if you are going to cut from city, those GEC residents want a link to the city. btw 93 looks like it duplicates CCL alot but not really.
gynobcard SG agree. most times i can't even board the DDs during the morning peak. freq is excellent also. btw 80 was supposed to be amended for the NEL rationalization but somehow SBST decided against it. Why amend 80 when CCL starts operation then? SBST would certainly like to compete with SMRT, which is why 502 follows most of the EWL right?
SBS9818A SG Correct. Sv. 80 was intended to be amended, probably cut short to HG but SBST decided against it as they knew of the potential backlash. Sv. 80 is the sole service linking Geylang East Central residents to town, and they know that.
leeJZ SG 502 doesnt follow much of EWL, only from BNL - CLE, after that it goes on Ulu Pandan / Holland Rd to Orchard / Marina Centre.
