^tamago^ SG tis service 9 bus seems to use a different gearbox than the rest of VO3x’s. from the sound & acceleration, it corresponds to the gearbox used by Tibs Volgren O405 Smiley Buses (note that it’s slightly different from that used in Hispano O405’s).
^tamago^ SG yup i believe it is a different version of ZF but it's unbelievable to find out that SBST tried out a different gearbox sparodically on VO3X's. the only other we noe is Volvo Mk3.
xin1jun2 SG hi guys: vo3x and hispano merc use same gearbox ZF4HP500 althought most vo3x dun cat call or howl like the mercs of TIBS. i assure u peeps that soem vo3x do sound exactly like the merc of TIBS when shifting gears. one good example is 9249 on 197 ow (cat call) ZYX
SBS9845X SG TIBS Mercedes 0405 Volgren engine sounds different from the hispano 0405s. The volgren ones sound better.
gynobcard SG what kind of engine does the SBST MB0405 use? coz the one on 294U (sv 159) seems perm in neutral gear
gynobcard SG hmm to put it rather bluntly the engine sounds "constipated". want to change gear but cannot change gear.
^tamago^ SG 9289B on svc 9 also have cat yell, if during the 2nd gear chnage the bus is accelerating fast enough.
