What do you want to happen to make you happy?

What change in the public transportation sector will make you the happiest bus enthusiast in the world?

You all should know what will make me happy... Wink

i actually tot this is a general topic and not specific to public transport.. Mr. Green

freakybuses SG

CCK, BBT, BP to be under SBST?

bus911 SG

1.Public transport taking over private transport. Cannot imagine what happen if the roads are filled with buses only and no cars.

2.Speedier buses(80-90km/h)

cck_190 SG

Just CCK would be enough...

btw, this are the thing that would make me happy. If any of this happens, I would be happy.

~SBST to re-take over CCK & BB/BP
~SBST to give up NEL & become SBS once again
~SMRTB to 'divorce' from SMRT & become Tibs again.
~Tibs buying Double Deckers
~Buses would take over roads. Means that buses will be the main transport for S'poreans, no more cars.

bus911 SG

Great minds think alike...Do you agree(read my post above)??

freakybuses SG

I would rather SBS retain NE and give up NEL and Tibs to roam Yishun, Sembawang, Woodlands. And the merged name of Tibs and SMRT will be as Trans(it) Island... Laughing

cck_190 SG

Haha, yes, great minds do think alike. Only 1 problem. If roads are controlled by buses, wouldn't buses will be crowded all the time? Neutral

freakybuses SG

And articulated buses are troublesome then... takes up space.

cck_190 SG

Yes, agreed. DDs are more practical in Singapore. Things are going up, not sideways in Singapore. Smile

bus911 SG

double-deck bendy even better........kill two birds with one stone.

freakybuses SG

Actually that's better... but for the safety of our residents...

bus911 SG

these type of buses are quite safe ...they r being used in other countries(neoplan jumbo)

freakybuses SG

but are they rather expensive?

carbikebus SG

Ya lah,Other countries are far more bigger and spacier compared to SG.

freakybuses SG

When SG needs land, they need to reclaim... unlike others.

SBST & SMRT had fair amount of SDs,DDs,Bendies,Midis & Longbuses.Last but not least,Various model of buses too instead of majority of Volvos & Mercedes-Benz. Very Happy
