How come Tampines Ave 2 is in between Ave 7 and Loyang Ave? Yishun Ave 5 and Ave 7 are not connected together.

1. The routes would simply be too long. Besides, my aim is to link Central to NW to provide competition to the MRT.

just be careful of your citaros suddenly ctaching fire while on the move . 3 have perished so far in sudden bus spontanous combustion in the UK. (thats real news) =S

there is 171 from yishun to bt panjang.how about planning it to choa chu kang instead.just my suggestion. Wink

Note that LeeJZ's suggestion to service 854 does not ply Yishun at all.

I suggest to let service 171 terminate at Bt Panjang instead of Yishun. Service 172 and service 171 (between Bt Panjang and Yishun) be integrated to become Yishun - Boon Lay service.

well just to compare we got a bus called ZYX180:
BOON lay - SEMBAWANg linking town centres of Boon lay, Bt panjang, woodlands and sembawang.

ZYX180's route = get bus guide of 199x and look for 951's route. then from Marlsing continue to Woodlands regional via Marlsing rd, woodlands ave 2, ave 7, Sembawang new town and head for int.

Extend 138 to serve residents of Bt Panjang and CCK from AMK. Starts with original route and U turn at S’pore Zoo and go BKE until Bt Panjang and turn into Bt Panjang Rd and follow the rest of route 190.

In my previous suggestion, service 171 goes into the city from Bt Panjang. For those in Yishun, they can take services 167 or 857.

Just for your information, service 171 is the only service in Yishun Central / Woodlands Central area to go into the heart of Orchard Road.

Service 167 does not ply Yishun Central, but it serves Chong Pang City which is in Yishun.

Sorry, what I meant was service 171 is the only service from Yishun Central to Orchard. Therefore, the link should not be termintated.

Also, many Sembawang Airbase personnels take service 171 from Sembawang Road to Yishun / Chong Pang.

For 1st paragraph, I suggest service 167 to be amended, via Yishun Ave 7, Ave 2, Ave 3 and continue with current route. (towards Bt Merah) This route to Orchard is faster than service 171 which goes via Mandai, Bt Panjang, Upp Bt Timah and Dunearn.

For 2nd paragraph, the link will be covered by the new service integrated from service 172 and part of service 171. (between Bt Panjang and Yishun) Amended service 171 will operate between Bt Panjang and Marina Centre only.
