gynobcard SG the small area behind the refuse collection centre is too small for buses to park so the buses can only doa 3-point turn there...
tranquilice SG Heard from my friend living there that buses terminating at Ghim Moh terminal used to enter via the carpark road between block 9 and block 10. There is a dedicated bus lane behind block 9, the buses will travel on this lane and then go pass the rubbish collection centre and lastly turn out into Ghim Moh Rd. But that has been stopped and the road outside the rubbish collection centre has been blocked from the rest of the carpark.
leeJZ SG They should have not shut down the project to integrate the two terminals + the LTA headquarters…better than two messed up terminals.
carbikebus SG That's the reason why i feels that Buona Vista should have boarding & alighting berths and Ghim Moh to have proper parking berths rather than the cramped current ones.
The_Bus_Guide SG Hmm....that explains some things, like why there is a bus-stop pole opp the refuse collection centre. I remember last time, the driver would do the 3-point turn first, then release the passengers.
carbikebus SG Ok now about Sin Ming,Is there any sv besides 605 in the 80s? Saint Michael's Terminal,When it was built,70s?Somehow it badly needs upgrading.
Yusry SG As well as 353 (renumbered 57 when made to operate from Bishan Interchange and looping at Sin Ming, and subsequently renumbered 410 when it became a Bishan town-link-like service and now feeder service).
xin1jun2 SG huh? 353? i thought 353 go pasir ris. there was a 353 then in 1977???! i thought 57 is a new bus entirely then in 1986 zyx
freakybuses SG Not the 57 between C'wealth Ave & Changi Airport. Happened in the late 1980s for the renumbering of svcs.
tranquilice SG Opposite? Didn't notice it. I only saw the bus stop pole outside the refuse collection centre.
The_Bus_Guide SG The original St Michael's Terminal was located at Jln Aman, off Jln Tenteram. It was roughly near the present Multi-Storey Carpark (Blk 19A). Incidently, the road leading to the MSCP was exactly where Jln Aman was. St Michael's Terminal moved to its present site at Whampoa Rd in 1984.
SBS9818A SG Why was the terminal moved? Did the previous terminal also utilize IN/OUT card system for its services?
